I really wanted to like this book in hopes of a great new series from Rollins. Unfortunately, while there were intriguing moments, most of the story bounced between lackluster and "why am I wasting my time listening to this?". I gave it three chances but in the end I gave up about halfway through when I just couldn't take another horror genre scene.

Great book. Bad narration.

The story is exactly what you expect from this series. If you enjoyed the rest of the series you will love this one as well. Unfortunately the narrator didn't help the story. I ended up returning the audible version and just reading the novel on kindle.
