Historia
Lewis Madigan is young, gay, out of work, and getting antsy when he’s roped into providing end-of-life care for his insufferable homophobic neighbor, Chester Wheeler. Lewis doesn’t need the aggravation, just the money. The only requirements: run errands, be on call, and put up with a miserable old churl no one else in Buffalo can bear. After exchanging barbs, bickering, baiting, and pushing buttons, Chester hits Lewis with the big ask. Lewis can’t say no to a dying wish.

Excellent!
Revisado: 12-30-22
Oh, I loved this story! It was heartbreakingly beautiful, so funny and sad at the same time. Written so extraordinarily well that you felt like you were right there with the characters every step of the way! As difficult as it was it was a deeply hopeful story…something so needed in our current time/situation. Loved the narrator! He nailed it!
I am a hospice nurse and we love our volunteers. Oh to have a thousand Lewises in our queue!

Historia
Life is not easy for the poor relations of England’s upper crust, but fate and clever schemes bring them together. Lady Fortescue and Colonel Sandhurst hatch a plan: What if they were to transform her decrepit Bond Street home into a posh hotel, offering their guests the pleasure of being waited upon by nobility? With the help of other down-and-out aristocrats, they do just that, and London’s newest hotel, The Poor Relation, is born. The establishment is an immediate hit with London’s most illustrious citizens, save the Duke of Rowcester....

Historia
My name's Griz. I've never been to school, I've never had friends, and in my whole life I've not met enough people to play a game of football. My parents told me how crowded the world used to be, before all the people went away. But we were never lonely on our remote island. We had each other and our dogs. Then the thief came.

Beyond Excellent!
Revisado: 09-02-21
The storyline is beyond....way beyond... any apocalyptic story I've ever read, ever heard of or could ever imagine. It was difficult, devastating and hopeful, deeply insightful, brutal and brilliant. It kept me on the edge and even when I felt I couldn't listen to another word, I couldn't stop. The surprise near the end was so unexpected, though I had pondered the one more obvious clue offered earlier by the author. The narration was beautiful and well paced. The book will stay with me...it's character, its beauty and insight a gift that becomes more precious with every remembrance. Thank you C.A. Fletcher

Excellent! Timely!
Revisado: 09-16-20
I had to move through this book more slowly than I often do... I was haunted every time I opened it to listen. The Insidious rise of hatred seemed too real to bear. and then as the book finished to hear Olivia Harker's story of how she came to write the book and her motivation... I fully understood my unease. This is a book that must be read... This is a book for all of us who love the land of the brave and the home of the free. It is an excellent book; beautifully written and timely. Thank You Olivia for your gift.
