Trying to understand stress? This book will lead the charge! The connection between gut health and stress was thorough. Actionable steps to gut health were good. Put tangled thoughts on paper, great advice that worked. Restlessness management techniques useful. Daily meditation emphasis got my attention. Incorporate inspiration into daily life, it is all around us....so true and so easy to forget.

Mindfulness concept of grabbing that moment between stimulus and response was homework for me. The interactive exercise for automatic thoughts was very useful. Indeed change takes time and patience, never a truer claim stated. Common cognitive distortion comparison to walking a tightrope was good comparison. Over generalization leap, catastrophizing thoughts were both good red flags warnings for monitoring the manifesting of negative thoughts. Digital font diaries were something I had not know about. Long term improvements to mental health through cognitive behavioral therapy is outlined in this book with great detail.

As a productive addicted individual, manage stress portion caught my attention. Helpful to learn how stress hormones work. Digital vs. paper journal was food for thought. There was so much anti-inflammatory food education, I couldn't write fast enough. The supplement industry guidance was practical. Wind down process is noted. Self-care portion of the book was encouraging and necessary. Self-care is preventative medicine, hadn't thought of it that way. Saying "no" is not selfish--I need to remember that. I have listened to lots of books on this subject, have studied on my own and this resource stood out as best resource so far-- in so many ways.

Lynn's story was thought provoking. ocation choices and cost when considering the off-grid home were good information. List of good off-grid states very helpful. Herbal tinctures cream, balm and salves for minor skin irritations very practical. Safe drinking water warning, mental health and dental considerations good advice for placing procedures. Off-grid parenting considerations were bountiful.

Narration is similar to meditation, I did not know that. Practical gifts: personal stories of resilience are priceless. Loved the details on the power of authenticity.

This book is a transformative resource. Emotional intelligence is a skill and this books teaches the skill to raise your EQ. The author's credentials are very impressive for establishing trust in the contents of the book. The resources in this book will help you thrive in all aspects of life. Self awareness is foundational to a high scoring intelligence quotient. The differences between EQ and IQ were quite a long list. Oprah's qualities analysis was good example of EQ.

Ben Franklin quote good philosophy. "Stacking" is a practical, useful idea making use of vertical space. Beans using corn stalks for trellis is added to my tool kit. Lists of potential vegetables that grow well in shady spots was bountiful. Will use this book as reference as the spring season progresses.
