Historia
If there’s one thing Hap Collins and Leonard Pine like, it’s trouble - and they especially like getting paid to find it. So when their friend and sometime boss Marvin Harmon asks the boys to look into a cold-case double homicide, they’re happy to oblige. It turns out that both victims were set to inherit some serious money, and one of them ran with an honest-to-goodness vampire cult. The more closely Hap and Leonard look over the crime-scene photos, the more trouble they see.

Good story, meh narrator.
Revisado: 09-03-20
The story is everything you have grown to love about the Hap and Leonard books but the narrator makes it difficult to get through. All of his character voices sound the same even for the female characters. So much so that you can not tell who is talking in the story until he says the name. Which makes dialogue between characters really annoying. A good narrator can make a good book great and a ok book good. But the opposite is also true. A bad narrator can turn a good book, bad.

Welcome to Sunder City. The magic is gone, but the monsters remain. I'm Fetch Phillips, just like it says on the window. There are a few things you should know before you hire me: 1. Sobriety costs extra. 2. My services are confidential. 3. I don't work for humans. It's nothing personal - I'm human myself. But after what happened, to the magic, it's not the humans who need my help.

Going to be a really good series.
Revisado: 07-24-20
I was on the fence getting this book But I am really happy I did. The story is good and kept me engaged from beginning to end. Typically don't lke books narrated by the authors because they dont seem to do it as well as professional narrators. But he does an excellent job, on par with RC Bray, Ray Porter or Tim Gerard Reynolds.

Revisado: 06-26-18
I listen to audiobooks at work, and with other books I find myself tuning them out, not with this one. It was fast paced from begining to end. A good mix of action and humor. The narrator is top notch and I can not wait to finish the series.

Historia
United Nations Special Operations Command sent an elite expeditionary force of soldiers and pilots out on a simple recon mission, and somehow along the way they sparked an alien civil war. Now the not-at-all-merry band of pirates is in desperate trouble, again. Their stolen alien starship is falling apart, thousands of light years from home. The ancient alien AI they nicknamed Skippy is apparently dead, and even if they can by some miracle revive him, he might never be the same.

Historia
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Narator got better as the book went on
Revisado: 12-14-17
Rosario Dawson started out ok. but her voices were the same for all the characters in the begining so conversations were a little hard to follow. As different characters started coming accents and tones were used for them so that helped. Good story line. overall an enjoyable book.

Their best hope lies with Cress, a girl trapped on a satellite since childhood who's only ever had her netscreens as company. All that screen time has made Cress an excellent hacker. Unfortunately, she's being forced to work for Queen Levana, and she's just received orders to track down Cinder and her handsome accomplice.

not the best one in the series but still ok.
Revisado: 02-24-16
I struggled finishing this one only because the choices the characters make are, let's just say, less than intelligent. There are other things but listing them would give spoilers. Still an enjoyable listen just not the best one in the serious. Just the most aggravating.

Historia
Find the missing. Fear the found. Three months have passed since the aliens' arrival, but little has changed in the skies. Motherships still hover, impervious to attack and communication. Spherical shuttles ferry about with unclear intentions. But the abductions of select humans have ended, and most of those taken have been returned - dazed, incoherent, and prophesying glory or doom, but home where they belong. Still, nine seemingly unconnected people remain missing.

Narrator put me to sleep.
Revisado: 12-03-15
Good story with a new take on the zombie genre. The narrator was very mono tone and put me to sleep twice. Had to stick with it just to finish. I did enjoy the book but even the few action scenes were meh cause of the flat tone of the reader.
