Historia
When a teenage girl goes missing in Arizona, retired NYPD officer Jamie Butler is frantic to find her. Haunted by the brutal murder of her own daughter, Jamie is convinced that this girl has been abducted in the same way. There are inexplicable similarities to her own daughter’s abduction. Connections that seem impossible. Because her daughter’s killer is long-dead. But as her search for the missing teen intensifies, new evidence comes to light. Evidence that implicates Jamie herself.

Just ok
Revisado: 05-17-23
The narrator wasn’t very good and had a flat affect. This did not lend itself well to the story which came across as disjointed and disingenuous and times.

Historia
I ended my marriage for a man who didn’t exist.... I have everything money can buy. I’m a good wife, but sometimes I feel trapped. And when I start an affair with a stranger called Ewan, my life changes in ways I can’t begin to understand. Because Ewan breaks apart my marriage piece by piece and then he just disappears. He uses a fake name and leaves no trace behind—it’s like he doesn’t even exist. Someone did this to me and now they’re waiting for me to unravel, watching my every move. I can’t trust anyone, not even myself—not even the people I love.

Intriguing!

I found the book to start out a little slow but when the storyline kicked in it was well worth the read!
