Historia
Thousands of years ago, I fell from heaven to love a human woman. I willingly gave up my wings; shunned my place in heaven because she was all I needed. Then I lost everything. Forced to live on inside the body of a vampire, I searched for her, knowing she'd return to me in another life. But I finally gave up hope of finding my love, as so many of my fallen brothers had also done. I went dormant; gave over control to my vampire host, Galen - until Reese woke me, and my search began again. But heaven and hell are on the edge of war, and I'm the only one who can stop it.

WARNING! Will cause side effects 😁
Revisado: 08-21-21
Just finished the trilogy and I'm having withdrawals! So, this was my 1st time listening to this author and narrators, so complete blank slate. There is a LOT of "feeding" and didn't think I could make it through the 1st book but decided to keep going. Underneath the obvious top layer I started to enjoy the characters and story. The narration were the blazing star of this story. That was the biggest take away and now I'm really missing that amazing talent.

Henry Bins is only awake one hour a day. Can you imagine only being awake for one hour each day? Can you imagine having to cram your entire existence into sixty measly minutes? Two minutes to shower. Three minutes to eat. Five minutes to watch TV. And in that 3600 seconds you have awake, imagine that you have to figure out...Who murdered the woman across the street?

Surprisingly Brilliant
Revisado: 09-19-20
I really enjoyed this book. Thinking it was like most in this genre (which I love), it became unexpectedly enthralling. The navigation thru the story as well as the excellent narration puts this in one of my most entertaining reads. If you are a fan of the Tudor era, I highly recommend this gem of a tale and can't wait to read the next.

Fantastic! Gets better and better
Revisado: 04-16-20
I have only just now discovered the series and I'm blown away with the story and how fantastic it evolves. Sometimes the characters are hard to grasp but do they ever come together with a WHAT??!! Liked this one better than the first and normally "part 2`s" are boring but this kept me intrigued all the way through. You know something is going to happen and it doesn't disappoint. You really want to have this one in your library.

Relevant but What Happened? Not the standard
Revisado: 04-13-20
One of my top 5 authors of all time and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that I can count on her bringing the mystery and suspense and the "can't turn the page fast enough" read but this one didn't bring it. It's a great story read by an excellent narrator but it lacked the usual MHC finesse. Just missed the mark for me this time.

Historia
Pediatrician Kent Abner received the package on a beautiful April morning. Inside was a cheap trinket, a golden egg that could be opened into two halves. When he pried it apart, highly toxic airborne fumes entered his body - and killed him. After Eve Dallas calls the hazmat team - and undergoes testing to reassure both her and her husband that she hasn’t been exposed - it’s time to look into Dr. Abner’s past and relationships. Not every victim Eve encounters is an angel, but it seems that Abner came pretty close.

Another Slam Dunk!
Revisado: 03-02-20
Each time I start a new Eve Dallas book, I say to myself "this one can't be as great as the others". I was wrong AGAIN! I don't know how she continues to deliver the awesome entertainment I've come to expect and love with this series. I still laugh out loud and cringe with horror, can't breath suspense and savor the endings just as I did dozen of books ago.
I'm really liking the characters growth and the not so distant future story features. I would love to see another crossover but until then....a highly recommended read for new, old or anywhere in between.

Historia
Narrator Dan Stevens ( Downton Abbey) presents an uncanny performance of Mary Shelley's timeless gothic novel, an epic battle between man and monster at its greatest literary pitch. In trying to create life, the young student Victor Frankenstein unleashes forces beyond his control, setting into motion a long and tragic chain of events that brings Victor to the very brink of madness. How he tries to destroy his creation, as it destroys everything Victor loves, is a powerful story of love, friendship, scientific hubris, and horror.

Historia
Thwarted Queen, a frustrating tale (hence the title) of Lady Cecylee Neville (1415-1495) who was nearly crowned Queen of England, encompasses Rose of Raby (book one), One Seed Sown (book two), Thwarted Queen (book three), and Two Murders Reaped (book four). It is the entire saga of Lady Cecylee Neville, a portrait of a woman trapped by power, a marriage undone by betrayal, and a king brought down by fear.

I so wanted this story. I've been looking for an audio book on these characters for so long and was excited to buy without hesitation. I should have hesitated. Can't get to the actual story as the narrating is so bad. I can generally get past this if I really want the story but not this time. Will surely reconsider if another narrator is used but it's a total miss for me.

Historia
Enjoy the first novels that brought the world two of Agatha Christies’ most enduring detectives: Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot. The Murder at the Vicarage is the first Miss Marple mystery, one which tests all her powers of observation and deduction. In The Mysterious Affair at Styles, Captain Arthur Hastings, invalided in the Great War, is recuperating as a guest of John Cavendish at Styles Court, the "country-place" of John's autocratic old aunt, Emily Inglethorpe.

Revisado: 09-21-19
It was painful to listen to the first story as narrated; had to stop after chapter 12..... BUT thank goodness for Hugh! He knocked it out of the park. "Styles" isn't one of my favorite Christie`s novels but it was a joy listening to as narrated by Mr. Fraser. He is flawless and I would listen to this one again.

Didn't know what to expect as I'm only familiar with some of the stories but I was thoroughly entertained. Cast ridiculously awesome and I have to say I think I'm crushing on John Moffat as Poirot. He was everything. His last 5 words in the last case; Boom! Madame Christie plus Sir Moffat....."mic-drop"!
