Historia
It is the tenth anniversary since the first publication of Daniel Goleman's groundbreaking bestseller, Emotional Intelligence, which maps the territory where IQ meets EQ, where we apply what we know to how we live. Spending over a year on the New York Times bestseller list, Emotional Intelligence provided the evidence for what many successful people already knew: being smart isn't just a matter of mastering facts; it's a matter of mastering your own emotions and understanding the emotions of the people around you.

Lots of facts and anecdotes
Revisado: 04-22-24
This was a good presentation about emotions, what causes them and observations and studies. I love how the author mentions the studies done on children and long term studies. You really get a taste of the flavor of life here. The audio was briefly messed up in a certain part and the speaker’s voice is meh but he did do s fair job of changing his voice up to make himself sound like a child or female when needed. I learned about “flooding” and i hope i never forget. Buy this book. It’s like vegetables with a natural flavor that will make you stronger.

The wisdom contained is great and prophetic for over a 100 years ago. The reader’s voice is great and gravelly. I love this dude. The time really flies by.

Historia
Man’s Search for Meaning is the chilling yet inspirational story of Viktor Frankl’s struggle to hold on to hope during the unspeakable horrors of his years as a prisoner in Nazi concentration camps. Between 1942 and 1945 Frankl labored in four different camps, including Auschwitz, while his parents, brother, and pregnant wife perished. Based on his own experience and the experiences of those he treated in his practice, Frankl argues that we cannot avoid suffering, but we can choose how to cope with it, find meaning in it, and move forward with renewed purpose.

I finally got to “read” this book I’ve heard so much about. I believe my life has been changed for the better and I will probably “read” it again because of the logotherapy ideas contained within, and also to remind of how good I have it now. When I look back on life when I am 80, i wont regret the time spent with Audible and this book.
