Moments after Lisbeth is born, she’s taken from her mother and handed over to an enslaved wet nurse, Mattie, a young mother separated from her own infant son in order to care for her tiny charge. Excessive foul language
Revisado: 09-22-21
Story good, narration good, 100% unnecessary excessive cursing. It does NOT take any skill to use this language. Professionals do not use this language and do not take God’s name in vain.

Historia
The four dead guards didn’t concern Mitch Rapp as much as the absence of the man they’d been paid to protect. Joe Rickman wasn’t just another foot soldier. For the last eight years Rickman had ran the CIA’s clandestine operations in Afghanistan. It was a murky job that involved working with virtually every disreputable figure in the Islamic Republic. More than a quarter billion dollars in cash had passed through Rickman’s hands during his tenure as the master of black ops and no one with a shred of sense wanted to know the details of how that money had been spent.

Love Mitch but
Revisado: 12-29-19
Love Mitch Rapp series with one exception. I get the “bad guy” image but I still do not think that necessitates the extensive foul language used. In fact it seems to be getting more invasive. I would have to look and see if this book is by the new author or not. If it is, COOL IT! It adds absolutely no benefit to the story and in fact also does not show talent. Anyone can use gutter language. That does not take talent. It is evidence of a lack of talent. That is why I gave it a 3 star and the only reason.

Awesome
Revisado: 11-22-19
This was a great story with an unexpected story line. The only reason I did not give it a 5 was there were a handful of times they took God’s / Jesus name in vain. WHY? Why do they have to use any curse words? It was not pervasive but still negative.

Historia
It's a gorgeous autumn day in Georgetown. The Democratic candidates for president and vice-president of the United States are dutifully glad-handing voters and the media outside a grand estate where a national-security conference has just been held, bringing together the world's greatest minds to discuss the issues that are threatening the country. It's American politicking at its best. That's when all hell breaks loose.

I love the Mitch Rapp series. We all would love to be so physically skilled & get the bad guy. Interesting story line each time. My only suggestion & hope is to get rid of the cursing. I know he is a tough guy agent but that does not justify the language. That is my only complaint about the series.

Unrealistic
Revisado: 08-31-19
I have read multiple tragic stories about the Holocaust & the atrocities perpetrated on innocent people but this one was so unrealistic. If this was the first book I had read about the war, I would have thought this isn’t that bad. Never fear or pain. And the beautiful voice of the narrator gave no evidence of fear or any other emotion just sweetness all the way. Much better & more accurate ones all the better.

Absolutely AWFUL
Revisado: 08-29-19
This has to be the stupidest book I ever started. About 1/4 of the way i gave up. 50% foul language with F word prevalent. And then this pregnant teenager has the supposed wisdom of Solomon with all this stupid emotional insight into men, people, relationships etc. i am returning this one. So glad that is an option.

Historia
Beckett: If you’re reading this, well, you know the last-letter drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there was any chance you could have saved me, you would have. I need one thing from you: get out of the army and get to Telluride. My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart.

Unique
Revisado: 08-14-19
I don’t believe one person could experience what Ella did & some of the things she said/did in relation to Gentry were ridiculous & vice versa with Gentry for Ella. The story was good overall. It was totally 100% unnecessary to be so sexually graphic. Leave something to the imagination. Oh yeah, I would love to have someone as steadfast as Gentry but we all know real life is not like a book or movie. This would be a good movie if the sex scenes were toned down.

Raymond Jaffe feels like he doesn’t belong. Not with his mother’s new family. Not as a weekend guest with his father and his father’s wife. Not at school, where he’s an outcast. After his best friend moves away, Raymond has only two real connections: to the feral cat he’s tamed and to a blind ninety-two-year-old woman in his building who’s introduced herself with a curious question: Have you seen Luis Velez?
