Historia
Miryem is the daughter and granddaughter of moneylenders, but her father's inability to collect his debts has left his family on the edge of poverty - until Miryem takes matters into her own hands. Hardening her heart, the young woman sets out to claim what is owed and soon gains a reputation for being able to turn silver into gold. When an ill-advised boast draws the attention of the king of the Staryk - grim fey creatures who seem more ice than flesh - Miryem's fate, and that of two kingdoms, will be forever altered.

Both story and narration are wonderful
Revisado: 01-05-23
The story was so good, I honestly wasn't sure about it once I read it was a rumpkestiltskin retelling, but I will genuinely recommend this book to anyone who listens.
The narration was an absolute pleasure to listen to as well. The narrator made it so much easier to tell whose POV we switched to, even though it was never clearly stated.

Historia
Kell is one of the last Travelers - magicians with a rare, coveted ability to travel between parallel universes. As such, he can choose where he lands. There's Grey London, dirty and boring, without any magic, ruled by a mad King George. Then there's Red London, where life and magic are revered, and the Maresh Dynasty presides over a flourishing empire. There's White London, ruled by whoever has murdered their way to the throne. And once upon a time, there was Black London...but no one speaks of that now.

Outside of my comfort zone, and I loved it!
Revisado: 07-30-22
This was a bit outside of my usual comfort zone, and I absolutely adored it! My only complaint is that I'm really not a fan of how the narrator did female voices. Grated on my nerves a bit haha. Other than that, he was a GREAT narrator.

Great story, kept me hooked
Revisado: 07-17-22
This last book focused on sex a whole lot less than the last books, which was a welcome break. Nice cozy conclusion to a good series.

Historia
The Hades Galaxy is so far from Earth, its light hasn’t even reached our most powerful telescopes. It’s a strange place - familiar, yet different. It’s also inhabited. Or it used to be. So how did Paul Johnson get from his grandpa’s ranch in Montana to the shores of alien waters in a distant galaxy? How did he and millions of colonists become trapped there, with no hope of ever returning home? He did what men throughout history have done: he chased after a beautiful woman. And he got her. Sort of.

Good story. Bizarre sexualization.
Revisado: 12-14-19
The story really grabbed me, after a few chapters you definitely feel attachment to the characters.
The constant sexualization was extremely off-putting, and really pulled me out of the story very regularly, the book could go without half of those scenes.
