Historia
No one liked Jake Kinsey. A rich man, he turned up out of nowhere, acquired Exmouth’s trophy penthouse flat, and then bought his way into the local rowing club. And now he’s dead. D/S Jimmy Suttle, a newcomer to the Devon and Cornwall force from his old job on Major Crimes in Portsmouth, is the one detective who suspects that Kinsey has been killed. His boss, beset by budget cuts and the pressure of other cases, needs to move on. The enquiry is dead in the water.

Hurley's Jimmy Suttle is a gem
Revisado: 03-13-17
What did you love best about Western Approaches?
Hurley's brings to life the Exmouth area. Jimmy Suttle character is well developed and well worth the following.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Western Approaches?
There are far to many to isolate just one - but I'd have to say his interviews with the prime suspects is well told.
Which scene was your favorite?
Don't have just one.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I would if I had that kind of time.
Any additional comments?

Historia
It’s 1996, and Reacher is still in the army. In the morning they give him a medal, and in the afternoon they send him back to school. That night he’s off the grid. Out of sight, out of mind. Two other men are in the classroom—an FBI agent and a CIA analyst. Each is a first-rate operator, each is fresh off a big win, and each is wondering what the hell they are doing there. Then they find out: A Jihadist sleeper cell in Hamburg, Germany, has received an unexpected visitor—a Saudi courier, seeking safe haven while waiting to rendezvous with persons unknown.

Reacher gets more dopey by the book
Revisado: 01-30-17
Would you try another book from Lee Child and/or Dick Hill?
Not Lee Child - Dick Hill is a fine narrator
What could Lee Child have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Create a new creator or at least try something different. Bigger ( expect in the movies), brighter and better becomes far too predictable and boring.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
Dick Hill is an excellent narrator and one can picture Reacher sounding as Hill does.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Night School?
Well to be fair I thought the book was awful - however anytime Reacher fights is plane ridiculous.

Reginald Hill in fine form.
Revisado: 01-30-17
What did you love best about The Wood Beyond?
The level of detail that Reg Hill imparts is truly impressive. All the characters are well developed - you are invested right from the start.
What did you like best about this story?
The back drop of the Pascoe family history.
Which character – as performed by Jonathan Keeble – was your favorite?
Keeble does a masterful job with all the characters but I guess I enjoy his Peter Pascoe the most.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
If I had the time - yes

Reginald Hill is a treasure ... beautifully written and wonderfully told.
would highly recommend to anyone interested in this time period.
Hill proves he was more than just a mystery writer, but a historian as well.
the narrator is one of the best in the business

Pendergast at his best
Revisado: 06-10-16
Wonderful story, well paced. Typical twists and turns that set Pendergast apart from his piers. Would gladly recommend to all readers, but mostly those who are already fans.
