Historia
An online video of a girl clawing at the ceiling of her own grave could be the worst thing FBI forensic psychologist Zoe Bentley has ever seen. Perhaps even more disturbing is the implication of the video’s title: “Experiment Number One.” Zoe and her partner, Special Agent Tatum Gray, work as fast as they can to find the monster behind the shocking video, but soon another one shows up online, and another girl turns up dead.

Another outstanding book by Omer. Narrator was very good except for a ridiculous Boston accent.

Historia
On its surface, life in Houston in the 1950s is as you'd expect: stoic fathers, restless teens, drive-in movies, and souped-up Cadillacs. But underneath lies a world shifting under high school junior Aaron Broussard's feet. There's a class war between the "haves" and the "have-nots" as well as a real war, Korea, happening on the other side of the world. It is against this backdrop that Aaron comes of age, trying to understand how first loves, friendship, violence, and power can alter what "traditional America" means for the people trying to find their way in a changing world.

Surprised
Revisado: 06-14-18
I decided to read this novel because my daughter is a doctor. Wasn't expecting much but I was so pleasantly surprised. Performance was outstanding and I really enjoyed the story and the look back at the struggles of women in the early 20th century.

Rostov, an indomitable man of erudition and wit, has never worked a day in his life, and must now live in an attic room while some of the most tumultuous decades in Russian history are unfolding outside the hotel’s doors. Unexpectedly, his reduced circumstances provide him entry into a much larger world of emotional discovery.

Wonderful experience!!
Revisado: 02-12-18
I wish I had the words to convey my feelings about this novel but if I had that ability I would be an author. The characters, stories, and research combine to make this one of the best books this 60 year old man has read. Towles has the uncanny ability to find the perfect word or phrase for every occasion and his writing just flows beautifully. I can't understand how anyone wouldn't love this book but Alexander Rostov would be very accepting of that opinion, even if he disagrees, and that is one of the reasons he is such a fantastic character.

Great story...get rid of the sound effects
Revisado: 01-19-18
Baldacci pens a great story here and the two narrators do a wonderful job with their performance. I would have given the overall rating five stars except for the sound effects that were placed in the reading. It got to the point of being very annoying as gun shots and tire squealing interrupted the performance. Can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series.

Historia
It's just a small story really, about, among other things, a girl, some words, an accordionist, some fanatical Germans, a Jewish fist-fighter, and quite a lot of thievery. Set during World War II in Germany, Markus Zusak's groundbreaking new novel is the story of Liesel Meminger, a foster girl living outside of Munich. Liesel scratches out a meager existence for herself by stealing when she encounters something she can't resist: books.

Loved the performance and the story was captivating. The ending was a bit of a letdown, however, after such a strong build-up to the climax.
