Historia
Too many years of hunting psychotic vampires night after night have left Rachel with a need for change. So when the opportunity to travel across the galaxy aboard a Lasaran warship to a utopian planet arises, the powerful Immortal Guardian jumps at the chance. Rachel eagerly looks forward to making a fresh start . . . until an enemy attacks and she ends up alone in an escape pod so far from alliance-occupied space that no one can hear her communications. Ready for the Next One!!!
Revisado: 04-29-25
The entire series is great and a fantastic way to continue the Immortal Guardians. Both series are wonderful. The characters are so lively, and fun, very well developed. I can hardly wait for the series, (either one) to continue! They are hard to put down as you would say if you were reading a book!

Each book gets better and better!
Revisado: 01-12-24
The Narrator is simply great, His voices, maniacal laughs and inflection is the best I've ever heard. The characters are so creative and imaginative. The plots get better and better with each book. I really hope the series continues! Timmy is such a great strategist, The way the group works together make them an unstoppable team! I just can't say enough about the entire series, I find myself laughing and smiling all the time!

Historia
To earn his pardon and avoid becoming yet another necromancer statistic, Timmy has to work for the Council. From bandit uprisings to giant sea serpents and ogre invasions, Timmy and the others are there to save the day - sort of. When the dragon egg their resident pyromaniac stole hatches to reveal the world’s cuddliest harbinger of death, Timmy and the others are dragged into a pair of diabolically dangerous missions. Breaking out of one of the world’s most secure prisons was hard enough. Now, they have to break back in to rescue a vampire.

So much fun!
Revisado: 01-03-24
I love this series! They are so entertaining. The characters are vivid, funny and very clever. The narrator is exceptionally good. His tone and inflection really gets you into the story, you feel like you're right there in the action. Even the Elf's laugh seems spot on! I can hardly wait to listen to more of the series. The creature creation is so inventive!!

Historia
Timothy Walter Bolton - better known as Timmy - has spent most of his life as a necromancer. When he isn't terrorising his enemies, he's plotting inside his castle, which is built on top of lightless chasms filled with nameless horrors and beings of a generally malevolent and megalomaniacal nature. But after one of his latest creations, a zombie hydra-dragon-bear, tries to eat him, he decides that maybe it's time to find a new, less dangerous, career.

Imagination is unlimited
Revisado: 10-29-23
Not only is this extremely entertaining, but the imagination of creatures and descriptions is unbelievably graphic! The humor throughout the story makes the plot not only riveting, but entertaining. This is the first book from this author I listened to and was one of the best! I can hardly wait to hear the other books. The characters are exceptionally well created, and I was entertained every minute! I really want to hear more from this author.

Against the odds!
Revisado: 05-28-14
Where does The Recruit rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Kenny really proves not only his metal but his loyalty! I actually liked this one best in the series, because the bride wasn't the drop dead gorgeous like the others.
What other book might you compare The Recruit to and why?
The Guard Series; its great how the books overlap to tell the story, this way, things missed in one book are made clearer in the next.
What about Antony Ferguson’s performance did you like?
Antony has a fantastic accent and can really define each character. His inflections and expressive voice keep you interested in the story throughout.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
A worthy opponent!
Any additional comments?
I love how Monica also includes the history at the end of her books. This helps to show how close to the real thing her stories are, plus teaches about Scottish history and culture. I can't read a book often, and I have a lot of books on tape so that I can still have books in my car, while I'm at work, or just relaxing. I always feel enriched after one of Monica's books, they're not just fiction and adventure; I learn from them!!

I could listen to it over and over again!
Revisado: 05-26-13
Would you consider the audio edition of The Indiscretion to be better than the print version?
I only have the audio edition, I don't have the book in print. I downloaded it to my ipod and have listened to it close to eight times over the past couple of years!
Who was your favorite character and why?
I love Lydia Bedford-Browne - she is my hero! She is funny, exciting, incredibly smart and very adventuresome! Sam Cody is her perfect match! He is so laid back and funny. I've never heard of such a humble man.
What about Barbara Rosenblat’s performance did you like?
She really defines the characters and the connotation and inflection is great. You never have to guess who's talking!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I liked when Lydia's brother came out of the closet! What a shocker!
Any additional comments?
I like how the blend of old world England meets with modern day American's. Usually the romance books have an American woman go to England to catch a Duke, this is a great role reversal!

Historia
When destiny brought Sir Balfour Murray and his wounded brother down the same road as Maldie Kirkaldy, she offered her services as a nurse even as she tried to deny the desire this dark-eyed knight had ignited at first sight. Soon they discover that they both share a mission of vengeance, but Maldie cannot tell him her true identity - to do so would brand her a spy.

Love those Highlanders!
Revisado: 03-09-13
What did you love best about Highland Destiny?
I love stories that come in a series and tell a much broader story. This is a perfect example; it includes some Scottish history, excellent characters, and a great plot. I also liked the fact that the heroine fell in love with the “Best Man” versus the most handsome one. I like it when a little reality is thrown into the mix. There is no such thing as prince charming after all. The chieftain’s character was a much better one than the wounded handsome younger brother who was very superficial. Nice usage of clan war history as well.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Highland Destiny?
The most memorable moment was when Balfour finally swallowed his pride and went after Maldie. Maldie finding her immediate family was a tear wrenching event as well.
What about Angela Dawe’s performance did you like?
Angela Dawe was great, her Scottish accent is excellent and her tone and inflection helped to make the story come to life.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I really liked the reception that Maldie received when she first met her uncle and loved how her uncle treated Balfour!
Any additional comments?
Great book, can hardly wait to hear the next in the series.
