Repetitive and annoying

This was the first book I’ve ever read/listened to from this author and it will probably be my last. I cannot believe this author is as popular as she is, if this is how her books normally are…The story was unbelievable, the situations unrealistic, and the characters and their reactions were annoying and cheesy. And, the amount of times the same information was repeated throughout the story, was sooo irritating. This book could have been cut in half if she didn’t say the exact same thing as she already had earlier in the same chapter over and over again. Also, The narrator kept the same monotone voice for the entire book, Making it impossible to determine who was saying what (or even if they were thinking it in their head) in the dialogue. I did finish it, hoping it might get better, but it didn’t. I spent more time rolling my eyes than I did enjoying it. All these 5 star reviews have got to be from people 55 and older, or her friends and family. Glad it was free or else I’d be ticked. Save yourself the time and listen to something better!

Good story but…

This was a decent free book that helped pass the time while driving to and from work… BUT, Wtf was up with the dialogue? It’s like someone dared the author to write an entire book without using one single contraction! Literally not one single time was there a “can’t” or “won’t” or “isn’t” or any other normal contractions used in every day conversations… It made it sound fake or like English wasn’t the author’s first language. Even when people were crying or under duress they still spoke so properly… Even the convict and the 10 year old girl, which made it very unbelievable. I honestly almost stopped listening because of how annoying this was. But, since I was intrigued by the storyline and wanted to find out what happened, I kept listening. Maybe this doesn’t bother some listeners, but to me, it was almost a dealbreaker.

Great story! I like how the author has found a way to create a story that includes both good and evil but in such a well mannered way. Keep it up!

This book was a good book to listen to when your getting started. It was very straightforward. Wish it were a little more detailed in some areas, it was very broad in specifics. Overall I liked the author and found his personal take refreshing and helpful.

It was a little hard to get into at first. Seemed a little slow. But once the story started to move in its timeline about a quarter of the way in, it was as usual, hard to put down. Can’t wait for another book of his as I am now out of titles to read!

Couldn’t stop reading

I am a truck driver that found myself sick of listening to music all the time, but never really enjoyed reading. Decided to start listening to audio books and I must say, this book was amazing! Very well written! Characters were so relatable and very well portrayed. It was a little hard at time at the first half to remember all of them and keep track, but once the plot started to settle down and focus on a select few it was much easier. I wish he would write a sequel! At least make a movie!

Could Not Stop Listening!!!

Would you consider the audio edition of Earthcore to be better than the print version?

I only have the audio version, but believe me, the performance was amazing! The narration made this book come to life!

What did you like best about this story?

I really enjoyed the characters and their life stories and how it played out in the story.

Which scene was your favorite?

Too hard to choose just one. Although one of my favorites was towards the end when a certain female got hers. LOL

If you could take any character from Earthcore out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Probably Randy. Only one that seemed half way normal.

Read this book too soon from release! Now who knows how long I will have to wait for the sequel!!
