Narration
Revisado: 01-02-07
Please go back to Jonathan Davis for narration. He gave the characters dignity and personality. This narrator makes the Camel Club sound like losers rather than the unique characters they are. The story is good but so much is lost in the telling.

Historia
It was a crime so brutal, it changed the lives of even the most hardened homicide cops. The Haas family murders left a scar on the community nothing can erase, but everyone agrees that convicting the killer, Karl Dahl, is a start. Only Judge Carey Moore seems to be standing in the way. Her ruling that Dahl's prior criminal record is inadmissible raises a public outcry, and puts the judge in grave danger.

Great Book/Poor Reader
Revisado: 09-18-06
I loved this book, but the reader is distracting with his unusual pauses, making every character sound a little cognitively deficient. Keep with Scott Brick for the next one.

Historia
This is the story of two sisters, Mary and Grace. As small children, growing up at their property called Abyssinia, they played with their dolls' house together, side by side, always. Grace loved Mary, and Mary loved Grace. But inseparable bonds in life can be unexpectedly shattered. When this happens to Grace, she is plunged into a dark and mesmerizing world, a world full of bells and the ringing sky, of odd little children, strange events, and frighteningly bizarre grown-ups.

I feel cheated

The publisher's summary does not seem to be about the book I heard. I agree with Rahul. I just wish I had read that review before I bought the book. What a waste.

Historia
While in Paris, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is awakened by a phone call in the dead of the night. The elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum, his body covered in baffling symbols. As Langdon and gifted French cryptologist Sophie Neveu sort through the bizarre riddles, they are stunned to discover a trail of clues hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci—clues visible for all to see and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter.

The Da Vinci Code
Revisado: 02-26-04
Friend who've read the book, rather than listening, found it fascinating. I found the accents distracting and the story poorly developed. I suspect the abridgement is at fault, as well as the narrator.
