It's been a couple of years since I last listened to the original 1984 audiobook, but I still remember there being more to the story than what was written for the dramatization. Still a great listen. ANDREW SCOTT is one of my top 5 favorite villain actors. His acting and voice acting are always dripping with venom and drama! Tom Hardy has an incredibly versatile voice and it worked so well for this audio-only dramatization. All of the voice artists did an incredible job at pulling you into the story. The real standouts were Scott, Hardy, and Garfield.

My only two negatives are that 1) I really wish it had been longer for it to include MUCH more than it did (it would've been 5 stars for me had that been done), and 2) I always find it incredibly awkward to listen to heavy breathing & breathy voices during audio-only sex scenes. It just feels overdone, very overactive, and awkwardly unnecessary. It's different to watch & hear those kinds of acted scenes, but the audio alone just doesn't sounds "sexy" if that's what they were aiming for.

OVERALL: I think this full-cast audio is totally worth a listen! However, I highly recommend you also read and/or listen to the full book before listening to this, or even after. It just has SO much more of an impact than this dramatized rewrite does.

H I G H L Y R E C O M M E N D ! ! !

Mike Slater is truly A VOICE OF LIGHT & REASON in a day and age where we are so hesitant to speak up, state the truth, or talk about faith or our beliefs in fear of being called insensitive, intolerant, out of touch with "reality", or as politically incorrect in any and every which way possible.

THERE'S NOTHING COOKIE CUTTER ABOUT THIS PODCAST.

I found Mike Slater when he subbed in for a week of Bill O'Reilly's show and I couldn't be happier or more grateful to have found this gem of a human being. I found his particular perspective and insight - and his lack of fear to speak about whatever he wanted to - INCREDIBLY REFRESHING. Plus, the guy just has an amazing Radio voice. So rare to find someone whose voice engages you instantly. I challenge you to give him a listen and see if his style and message aren't exactly what you didn't realize you needed. I really hope you'll enjoy listening to him as much as I do.

I can't wait to see this podcast and its audience grow! Keep up the great content and positive messaging, good sir!!!

While I used to specifically listen to Benny's show for a little lightheartedness in my regular political news intake, he's now in my top 5 daily listens. I try my best to support all of my favorite political podcasters everyday, but unfortunately, that means that I find myself hearing the same stories over and over again. BENNY IS THE EXCEPTION! He surprises me several times a week with interesting stories or subjects that absolutely no one else is talking about - and I love and appreciate the effort he makes to be able to do that! Highly Recommend!

How was "Chasing Ghislaine" even considered an appropriate title for this podcast? Whole episodes went by without even the mention of her name or her misdeeds. This podcast was not journalistic in any definition of the word. And, yet again, another story that doesn't focus at all on the victims. I think Ms. Ward did a very poor job at telling the real story, the one that would make her friend look like the monster she is, not as an innocent bystander. What a joke.
