Historia
Francis of Assisi is one of the most beloved of all saints. Both traditional and entirely revolutionary, he was a paradox. He was at once down-to-earth and reaching toward heaven, grounded in the rich history of the Church while moving toward a new understanding of the world beyond. Franciscan Father Richard Rohr helps us look beyond the birdbath image of the saint to remind us of the long tradition founded on Francis' revolutionary, radical, and life-changing embrace of the teachings of Jesus.

Inspiring collection
Revisado: 03-13-15
The narrator sounds similar to Richard Rohr. There are so many inspirational thoughts, it is difficult to plough through. I wanted to pause many time with only one or two sentences being read. This is a book that is probably better to read on paper or electronic formats. Great summaries of Fransiscan faith.

Historia
In this incendiary new work, the controversial author and speaker Peter Rollins proclaims that the Christian faith is not primarily concerned with questions regarding life after death but with the possibility of life before death. In order to unearth this truth, Rollins prescribes a radical and wholesale critique of contemporary Christianity that he calls pyro-theology.

Very challenging

What did you love best about Insurrection?
Applicable and relevant critiques of modern Christianity. Rollins meaningfully challenged my comfort level and gave helpful new trajectories. I am recommending this to all of my other friends who also desire healthy analysis and rupture of comfortable patterns of existence. May God truly rid us of our incorrect and often harmful notions of who God is.
