The juxtaposition between the male author and the female heroine are glaring. The story was just okay, you have to forgive a lot of nonsense to believe major storylines. I would expect a bit more research from the author on battered women, medical protocols, and the law. All three topics are major storylines, but are just not realistic enough for a solid story.

Change the names and it’s the story of the MI Nat’l Guard. I think this is well constructed. The smallest details are so similar it’s a bit spooky. Friends that have gone off the rails, the route names, the way women are treated on deployments, you’ve captured it all. You are my sisters, I understand what it’s like watching your friend on deployment, while his wife empties his bank account. I’ve felt the blast of a IED, I know what it’s like to recover a vehicle that was just hit. I understand the struggles of returning home and not really fitting in with civilians, yet don’t quite fit with my military friends. From a fellow 88M ;IGY6 check on your battle buddy.

Silly plot

Story is lacking substance. Author tries too hard, throws in derogatory remarks every now and again, and brings up sexual innuendos that are just odd or bad timing. Reader was good, a bit slow, listened in 2.2X the normal speed.

Just another story about a girl kidnapped and falls in love with her captor.

Why are there so many illogical things about this story. I know it's fantasy but when you peel back the layers there is not much there. Just another story of a woman falling in love with a captor. It's weird to think this is a normal storyline, but it is.

Literally unbelievable storyline

The story line has so many gaps. Like a bunch of HS children are allowed to work at 4am, and traveling to multiple other Countries unaccompanied. It's just too far fetched. And someone's brother owned a plane? A plane big enough to cross the ocean, is a jet. Really, this young kids brother owned a jet? Idk, the story is just trash. I think the author is a good writer and can probably do so much better.

As a combat vet, y'all just love using us in your BS stories. Y'all think a female General would cover for any Private, let alone a sex crime. Tends to be a theme with J Patterson stories.
