I love this series! Will be a classic!
Revisado: 05-21-22
If you enjoyed Game of Thrones you will love this epic series. Lots of rich characters that you get to love and hate. Never a dull moment either. You will snarl in anger, laugh out loud and cry.

Historia
Colonel Joe Bishop made a promise and he's going to keep it; taking the captured alien starship Flying Dutchman back out. He doesn't agree when the UN decides to send almost 70 elite Special Operations troops, hotshot pilots, and scientists with him; the mission is a fool's errand he doesn't expect to ever return from. At least, this time, the Earth is safe, right? Not so much.

Best audiobook listen in years!!!
Revisado: 09-08-20
How often do you find the second audiobook even better than the first especially if you really enjoyed the first? Well, this is one of the very few that have managed to do that. It is one of the few audiobooks I have refused to fall asleep until the wee hours of the morning because it is just that good. It has everything a science fiction story should have. It is fast-paced, it has great characters, and it has plenty of humor amid some pretty tough trials. Oh, and it has lots of different kinds of aliens too. The story is captivating in its own right but the narration is like icing on the cake or cream in coffee. They just really compliment each other. I like this series of audiobooks so much I have already purchased the next three audiobooks and that is something I have never done in the past.

Historia
We were fighting on the wrong side of a war we couldn't win. And that was the good news. The Ruhar hit us on Columbus Day. There we were, innocently drifting along the cosmos on our little blue marble, like the native Americans in 1492. Over the horizon come ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There go the good old days, when humans only got killed by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.

Totally exceeded all my expectations!!
Revisado: 09-08-20
I was so impressed with this audiobook I just went and purchased the next three books! It started out well but then it really caught my attention and imagination. I love the characters and how they interact with each other. I served in the military and immensely enjoy the subtle humor in this audiobook. It really catches the grist of the military humor and has made me burst out laughing numerous times. Action is pretty fast-paced too so it is very hard not to keep listening from start to finish. R,C. Bray does an absolutely fantastic job narrating this book too. I read and listen to well over 300 books and audiobooks a year and this series ranks up there with the very best I have read or listened to in the past five years. I am going to be purchasing these books for my youngest son as he is also a Veteran and I am sure will enjoy it as much as I do. Even if you have never served this a fantastic audiobook to listen to as it is just that good! I would give it a six rating if I could.

Historia
Sergeant Charles Windolph was the last white survivor of the Battle of Little Big Horn when he told his story nearly 70 years later. A six-year veteran in the Seventh Cavalry, Windolph rode in the 1873 Yellowstone Expedition, and the 1874 Black Hills Expedition. He fought in Captain Benteen's troops on the fatal Sunday, and vividly recalls the battle that wiped out Custer's command. Equally vivid is the evidence marshaled by historians Frazier and Robert Hunt.

Brings history to life
Revisado: 05-30-20
The audio brought recollections of the people that were there to life adding a rich texture to the history. The authors reference all material they present and tried their best to show multiple viewpoints. I liked this audio book so much I ordered a hard copy to add to my library.

Battlefield Korea picks up in the middle of a brewing global conflict, as the Chinese look to capitalize on Russian intervention in the Ukrainian civil war. The surprise attack there has NATO in chaos, false headlines barrage the Internet, and the war in Ukraine seems all but lost. Will this distraction keep America from intervening in Asia? When the Chinese begin to provide the North Korean regime with additional fuel, hard currency, and weapons, will America still be able to honor its treaty obligations in Asia?

well written with nonstop action.

Pretty knowledgable with most of the weapon systems. As a retired Army NCO I think it does a pretty good job. I believe that some of the scenarios are a little short when it comes to US capabilities but then that makes the story a little more interesting.

Historia
A devastating disaster has left the Forbidden Court in ashes, its fountains destroyed, and its magic at risk. It was destined as the site of Trynne Kiskaddon’s coronation as empress. Now, all Trynne can imagine is the roar of flames, the cries of Gahalatine’s people, and the smell of cinders in a city gone dark. Tragic as the threat to Kingfountain is, it’s nowhere near as foul as the treachery posed by Morwenna.
