Fun Science Fiction!
Revisado: 12-04-24
Immortal Edge continues the adventures of Ayla Rin from the OVERMIND comic.
A protagonist that can't get her well deserved vacation is sent once more into the unknown to solve a Galactic level crisis. This time without her James Bond-esque toys or privileges.
An engaging spy story that fans of Warhammer 40k and 80s action movies will devour.
I usually don't enjoy female point of view novels, but I liked this one. The OVERMIND comic adds some interesting backstory but isn't required reading if you want to start here.
5/5. Fun science fiction! Better than anything TOR's published in decades.

Governor Antony Lemkin has done the unthinkable as a politician--voluntarily stepping down from his post in protest of Earth's escalating war with the Aryshans. With war drums beating and the machinery of government going full force, there's little he can do to but voice his dissent, until mega-industrialist Fabio DePino presents him with a plan: build a new Earth, far away from humanity's conflicts.

Fun Science Fiction
Revisado: 11-22-24
A dab of Game of Thrones, a dash of the Battlestar Galactica remake, a dip of Warhammer 40k, and a damn good time. The best flavors of the above series are mixed into a ripping good plot that ends in a satisfying conclusion. At the end I was reaching for a bag of dice to start rolling.
The weakest part of the story is the opening. Four point of view characters are introduced in rapid succession. But if you can make it to the second chapters for each character the plot gets its hooks in you and doesn't let go.
5/5. Fun science fiction!

The war with the Buggers has been raging for a hundred years, and the quest for the perfect general has been underway for almost as long. Not for the uninitiated.
Revisado: 11-02-18
This book was my first exposure to 40K. An enjoyable read, though I'm sure 40K enthusiasts will appreciate it more than I did. The book avoids descriptions of common vehicles, equipment, and world building which assumes a level of familiarity I did not posses. At best it made the story difficult to visualize, at worst there were segments of the story that devolved into word salad.
I would not recommend this book to 40K noobs like me.

Annoying Static Sound With Increased Speed.
Revisado: 10-05-16
The content of the book is a solid 10/10.
The audio recording has a serious flaw. There is a noticeable static when trying to listen to the recording faster than 1.0 speed. The static is like listening to the book while someone brushes your ear with a feather. Very distracting.
