Great Story
Revisado: 04-24-20
First read the Artemis Fowl series with my oldest son when he was in elementary. Listening to the series again is just reliving a beloved classic. I had forgotten what a rugrat he was!! :)

Historia
Abby has been through hell and has survived one of the most brutal childhoods imaginable. To the outside world, she is just a loner with an attitude. When her grandmother dies in a tragic explosion, Abby is left with questions - and nothing else. Homeless, sleeping in a junkyard, and on the run from a system that has failed her over and over again, she meets Jake, a tattooed, blue-eyed biker with secrets that rival her own. Two broken souls that can't be healed. They can't be saved.

From the very first lines you're entangled in this tragic, sinister tale. Could not put it down.

Historia
Ben Carver is back to normal. He's working steadily in his classes at the Natick School. He just got elected captain of the baseball team. He's even won a full scholarship to college, if he can keep up his grades. All that foolishness with Rafe Goldberg the past semester is in the past. Except...there's Hannah, the gorgeous girl from the neighboring school, who attracts him and distracts him. There's his mother, whose quiet unhappiness Ben is noticing for the first time. School is harder, the pressure higher, the scholarship almost slipping away.

Five Stars
Revisado: 04-08-20
I love that this wasn't a HEA... it had a real world quality in that it was a young man just trying to figure out his own mind regardless of what those around him thought. He's trying not to just accept the box, but figure out who he is. Very refreshing read.

Historia
Rafe is a normal teenager from Colorado. He's been out since 8th grade, accepted by his peers & championed by his progressive parents. And while that's important, all Rafe really wants is to be a regular guy. To have his sexuality be a part of who he is, but not the headline, every single time. So when Rafe transfers to an all-boys' boarding school in New England, he decides to keep his sexuality a secret - not so much going back in the closet as starting over with a clean slate.

Five Stars
Revisado: 04-07-20
Original, honest, with a sense of humor that forces the reader/listener to take a good look at themselves. Labels exist even where we think they do not... sometimes the harder we try to escape the tighter the noose. Walking this path with Rafe was entertaining, but very enlightening.

Historia
Four years ago, I lost my virginity on live, streaming television. Too bad I wasn’t awake for it. Three of the four guys in the video shared me. But that fourth guy, who did nothing? That was my boyfriend, Drew. And that was the last time I saw him. Until today, when my father - now on a path to the White House - hired him as head of security for my new team as I return home after four years of “recovering” in an undisclosed location that involved white lab coats, needles, pills, and damage control.
