I Love This Book
Revisado: 11-09-17
Whenever looking over my Audible Library I am always drawn back to this book. I want to grasp the meaning of it. I do understand some of it, and the rest I don’t . But I know it is truth. So I continue to listen to it another time and enjoy the beauty of what it would be to be an untethered soul.

Historia
In The Dorito Effect, Mark Schatzker shows us how our approach to the nation's number-one public health crisis has gotten it wrong. The epidemics of obesity, heart disease, and diabetes are not tied to the overabundance of fat or carbs. Instead we have been led astray by the growing divide between flavor - the tastes we crave - and the underlying nutrition.

Diluted Food
Revisado: 09-10-15
Our food is diluted. That's why I love this time of year when my garden yields undiluted vegetables that are so full of flavour that all I add is butter or a tiny bit of salt. Tomatoes that are taste sensations! Really delicious potatoes, corn, cucumbers, etc This flavour is missing in action in our supermarkets and I want it found. The time has come and it is not hard to do. If that's what the consumer wants and demands the market will provide it. Read this book and find out how we are duped.

Fascinating experiment!
Revisado: 06-07-15
To quiet the mind is one thing, now add surrendering to what life presents to you. This really has me thinking that I want to surrender to at least the next thing as an experiment too. He tells how it worked out for him and wow life threw him lots of curve balls. As soon as I saw his name on a new book I knew I wanted it. The Untethered Soul is one I listen to over and over. This one tells his personal story.

Amanda has a message for the modern world
Revisado: 04-22-15
Amanda's message says the importance of connection in our modern world of FB and tweets, utube etc. It can be a wonderful tool for artists. She draws her fans to her heart through that kind of connection and of course her music. She comes across as a wise soul that our world really needs to hear. I fell in love with her, and laughed and cried with the way she told her story.

Helpful outlook
Revisado: 03-05-15
I have read this book several times. This week I returned to it to help me get through a disturbance I had with my co workers, it gave me the outlook I needed on the situation. What a relief! The mind is often messed up and I just have to question it with Katie's method.

Historia
No matter how much money, status, professional success, or other types of external security one may have, very few people experience true joy and personal freedom. Byron Katie knows this reality too well. In the midst of a "normal and successful" life, Katie became increasingly depressed, and over a ten-year period sank further into rage and despair. Then, one morning in 1986, out of the blue, she had a sudden, profound insight into how the mind works.
