Here is the novel that will be forever considered a triumph of the imagination. Set on the desert planet Arrakis, Dune is the story of the boy Paul Atreides, who would become the mysterious man known as Maud'dib. He would avenge the traitorous plot against his noble family and would bring to fruition humankind's most ancient and unattainable dream.

Great audio quality, inconsistent voice actors
Revisado: 03-02-22
Sometimes characters are voiced by specific actors and other times the narrator voices them. It’s distracting.
Other than that, this is a fabulous version.

Annoying reader and annoying lead character
Revisado: 04-19-17
The reader is so breathy it is maddening. Her men sound like women. The main character is young and dumb and annoying. Maybe if I could get through to the meat of the story the book would redeem itself, but as of now I have to walk away.

Historia
Victorian London is a cesspool of crime, and Scotland Yard has only 12 detectives - known as “The Murder Squad” - to investigate thousands of murders every month. Created after the Metropolitan Police’s spectacular failure to capture Jack the Ripper, The Murder Squad suffers rampant public contempt. They have failed their citizens. When Walter Day, the squad’s newest hire, is assigned the case of the murdered detective, he finds a strange ally in the Yard’s first forensic pathologist, Dr. Bernard Kingsley.

Such a good story!
Revisado: 03-29-17
I loved this story. My only complaint is that it times it was difficult to tell who was speaking with only their voices were used. But at the same time, the voice actor had lots of men to represent.
