Historia
In this honest, layered and unforgettable book that alternates between storytelling and her own poetry, Pamela Anderson breaks the mold of the celebrity memoir while taking back the tale that has been crafted about her. Her blond bombshell image was ubiquitous in the 1990s. Discovered in the stands of a football game, she was immediately rocket launched into fame, becoming Playboy’s favorite cover girl and an emblem of Hollywood glamour and sexuality. But what happens when you lose grip on your own life—and the image the notoriety machine creates for you is not who you really are?

It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

Revisado: 01-12-23
Who knew Haz was a brilliant writer? This is a beautiful glimpse into the life of a modern royal. I feel so much sadness and heartache for Harry and the loss of his mom. I am glad he found Meg and has his children. Consent is important for all humans, and he made his choice to put his family and babies first. Good for him.

Great podcast!
Revisado: 06-05-22
Mark and Brad both have the street cred to host this podcast. Long time fans know that Memphis and Tupelo are full of folks who are Elvis-adjacent. It is refreshing to hear a podcast with information that doesn't feel Elvis-politicized. Good job men! Glad to have this podcast to listen to as we enter a new age of Elvis fans joining our ranks.

What a ride!
Revisado: 07-23-21
I did not expect this experience, and although I cannot say I have been a victim of threats and abuse, I can relate to knowing someone horribly narcissistic and deceitful. If you are wondering if someone in your life is a sociopath or a psychopath, this is an eye opening dive into the real Dirty John and all that he was capable of. I loved it and I want to listen to the full Dirty John podcast again. Tonia, Emily, Abby, Auggie, and Jordan were all very brave to share this journey with us.

Historia
More Than Love begins on the morning after her mother's death in November 1981 when 11-year-old Natasha hears the news on the radio that her mother’s body has been found off the coast of Catalina after her parents had spent the weekend on the family boat, The Splendour. From this profound and shattering loss, Natasha shares her memories of her earliest bonds with her mother; her warm, loving, and slightly chaotic childhood as the daughter of two stars; the lost and confused years of her adolescence; and her halting attempts to move forward as a young woman.

love letter to her mother
Revisado: 05-08-20
This is the book we needed at this time when people with financial interest want to continue to make something out of nothing in relation to how Natalie Wood passed away. when you listen to the other books or the podcasts it is clear that there is no real case to pursue, just speculation. Natasha brings forward her history with her parents, and she is the only one who can do that. As she said in the book, when you are the child of a famous person, everyone tells you who your parent was. I appreciate that Natasha is able to have this voice and tell us who her mother was in an intimate, relatable way. Anyone else who speculates that there is something nefarious here has financial incentive to do so. This text is the definite biography that beautifully weaves Natalie's life with the lives of her daughters, which is what I believe she would want. It is a must read (must listen) for Natalie fans who want to understand the dynamic, strong, intelligent woman that she was and will continue to be for new generations of fans to come.

Historia
When Ada Calhoun found herself in the throes of a midlife crisis, she thought that she had no right to complain. She was married with children and a good career. So why did she feel miserable? And why did it seem that other Generation X women were miserable, too? Calhoun decided to find some answers. She looked into housing costs, HR trends, credit card debt averages, and divorce data. At every turn, she saw a pattern: sandwiched between the Boomers and Millennials, Gen X women were facing new problems as they entered middle age, problems that were being largely overlooked.

Historia
Who is Donald J. Trump? To truly understand America’s 45th president, argues Vanity Fair journalist Emily Jane Fox, you must know his children, whose own stories provide the key to unlocking what makes him tick. Born Trump is Fox’s dishy, deeply reported, and richly detailed look at Trump’s five children (and equally powerful son-in-law, Jared Kushner), exploring their lives, their roles in the campaign and administration, and their dramatic and often fraught relationships with their father and with one another.

I dont want to like this. this family is destroying our country. that being said, I liked having some background on all of the Trump children. I am the same age as DON Jr, and I barely remember the trauma... nice to have it all in one place.

Historia
Best-selling author, former White House speechwriter, and Atlantic columnist and media commentator David Frum explains why President Trump has undermined our most important institutions in ways even the most critical media has missed, in this thoughtful and hard-hitting book that is a warning for democracy and America's future. Quietly, steadily, Trump and his administration are damaging the tenets and accepted practices of American democracy, perhaps irrevocably.
