I can't wait for book 2

I initially picked up the book because it was isekai and voiced by Nick Podehl. I am so glad that I did. it took a while to get used to the frequent system voice interruption of natural speech but once I tuned that out I could not put it down. I stayed up all night to keep listening/reading. I'm exhausted now but it was so worth it. I will be counting down the days until book 2 releases next August.

Loved it and waiting for more

I love the whole book. I only wish we had more time with Sage. I would have loved to hear about his judgment as we have heard about so few of them. The next book can't come soon enough. I have loved the entire arcane ascension universe for a while and even have conflicting attunement tattoos so I can't wait to hear more about Sage's efforts to overcome the struggle and find effective ways to use both attunements.

Read it instead

It was an interesting story but I wish I had chosen to read it instead of listen to it. I was intrigued by the concept and found many parts of the story enjoyable but could not get past the narration. I was surprised by the mature content that felt shoehorned into the story but it may have felt more natural on the page. I would recommend anyone interested in this story take the time to read it instead as I am sure it would have allowed me to get more invested in the story.
