Historia
History remembers Robert F. Kennedy as a racial healer, a tribune for the poor, and the last progressive knight of a bygone era of American politics. But Kennedy's enshrinement in the liberal pantheon was actually the final stage of a journey that had its beginnings in the conservative 1950s. In Bobby Kennedy, Larry Tye peels away layers of myth and misconception to paint a complete portrait of this singularly fascinating figure.

Historia
John Wayne projected dignity, integrity, and strength in all his films, even when his characters were flawed, and whatever character he played was always prepared to confront injustice in his own way. More than thirty years after his death, he remains the standard by which male stars are judged and an actor whose morally unambiguous films continue to attract sizeable audiences.

Gripping!
Revisado: 10-21-15
Would you consider the audio edition of The Last of the President's Men to be better than the print version?
The audio book is excellent, delivery is perfect. That said the story and the way it is told is key, I would expect the written book to be just as good.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Last of the President's Men?
How "odd" Nixon was a person, his quirks and the difficulty working with him. The depth and breath of explaining Butterfield, his knowlesge and motivation really adds to a better understanding of the time, place and what occured in the Watergate story.
Which character – as performed by Campbell Scott – was your favorite?
Excellent ability to flip between the narrative and deliverying a line from one of the players, particularly Nixon.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
And you thought you knew everything about Watergate!
Any additional comments?
Bob Woodward adds more to the Nixon/Watergate story more than 40 years after it occured. A great read/listen.

Revisado: 02-20-15
What did you love best about Clockwork?
Great writing, interesting tale and the narration is one of the best I've every heard. The book reminds me a lot of a Charles Dickens Christmas tale.
What does Anton Lesser bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The narration is perfect! The story is interesting but the narration really brings it to life. Best fiction narrator I've ever heard.
Any additional comments?
The book would make an excellent play or movie. Reminds me of a classic Christmas tale.

His multi-award winning books have included Stalingrad and The Fall of Berlin 1945. Now, in his newest and most ambitious book, he turns his focus to one of the bloodiest and most tragic events of the twentieth century, The Second World War. Thrillingly written and brilliantly researched, Beevor's provocative account is destined to become the definitive work on World War II.

Great narration coveys the events of the Second World War with power.

The behaviour of troops to civilians of the countries they are fighting is touchy at times but more often than not very challenging listening.

If you could sum up Hubris in three words, what would they be?
Can't! Great piece of history, well told.
What aspect of Stefan Rudnicki’s performance would you have changed?
The narrator's voice is too calm, has a great tone, but puts you to sleep.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I enjoyed the book despite the average narration.

Who were the three men the Soviet and American superpowers exchanged on Berlin's Glienicke Bridge on February 10, 1962? Bridge of Spies is the true story of those men - Rudolf Abel, a Soviet Spy who was a master of disguise; Gary Powers, an American who was captured when his spy plane was shot down; and Frederic Pryor, a young American doctor mistakenly identified as a spy. They had been drawn into the nadir of the Cold War by duty and curiosity, rescued against daunting odds by fate and by their families, and then all but forgotten.
