Would be better as a reading book
Revisado: 08-14-19
I really enjoyed this story, although it was a bit hard to follow as an audio book. It jumps between three different time periods, and even though the narrator does a very good job, it can be hard to follow what time period of the story you are listening to. On this one, I recommend reading (not listening) the book!

Historia
The White House is the home of the president of the United States, the most guarded, monitored, closely watched person in the world. So how could a US president vanish without a trace? And why would he choose to do so? An unprecedented collaboration between President Bill Clinton and the world's best-selling novelist, James Patterson, The President Is Missing is a breathtaking story from the pinnacle of power.

Excellent!!

What a great story. It kept me guessing, on top of that it was pretty clean (minimal swearing and no sex scenes). Dennis Quaid is a wonderful narrator and added so much to the audible story. Great job!!

Disappointed
Revisado: 08-07-18
The story is typical of Susan May Warren. Light, fluffy, minimal spiritual content. I do like her writing, it is very easy reading/listening, but I do wish there was something a bit deeper...a chance for the characters to reflect how God sees them and not just listing their perceived faults over and over, for example.
I also don’t care for the narrator, he is very monotone and hard to listen to.

Great story, poor choice of narrator
Revisado: 03-03-18
I love this series, I have the books and decided to listen on audio. However, the narrator has too old of a voice for the characters, makes them sound as if they are elderly people. The emotions expressed sound immature, and when characters are having a conversation, it is impossible to differentiate which characters say what. It is quite disappointing, as the story is so good.

Historia
CJ St. John never dreamed his epic summer as a smokejumper would end with a harrowing plane crash - one that crushed his pelvis and rendered him nearly an invalid. He wouldn't have made it through the dark night of pain and danger without brave fellow smokejumper Hannah Butcher. In fact, if he were to admit it, he probably fell in love with her that night.

Different narrator
Revisado: 10-15-17
This was a good follow up story to the Montana Fire series. Unfortunately, there is a different narrator to this novella, who cannot pronounce one of the characters names correctly. It was also hard to get into this story with a male narrator.

This is a wonderful story. The only thing that was a bit frustrating was that there are multiple phrase repeats in this audio. I'm assuming a problem with the production. However, don't let that dissuade you from getting this book.

While I very much enjoyed this story, the swearing made me cringe. I would not recommend the book based on that fact.
