Historia
Once every year, Perley Gates and his brothers lead the Triple-G crew on its annual cattle drive. It's a treacherous journey along the Great Western Trail, with a herd of 2,000 cows on one side and many opportunities for trouble on the other. This year, trouble shows up in the form of a beautiful young woman, her little baby, and her bizarre traveling companion - a colorful old cuss who goes by the name of Possom Smith. They're heading to a settlement called Butcher Bottom, and risking their necks to get there. Perley offers to escort the trio to their destination.

easy lopin’ cattle roping
Revisado: 01-31-25
I like a western story of fair play direct common sense solutions, courage in the face of danger or intimidation met with a happy go luck demeanor backed up with cowboy skills and “not to be provoked” lighting like reflexes.
There’s something like a quaver in the voice of the competent and talented narrator that works well with various characters but becomes a little distracting over time.
A Sugar Foot kinda story

Historia
We were fighting on the wrong side of a war we couldn't win. And that was the good news. The Ruhar hit us on Columbus Day. There we were, innocently drifting along the cosmos on our little blue marble, like the native Americans in 1492. Over the horizon come ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There go the good old days, when humans only got killed by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.

almost like . . .
Revisado: 04-13-23
. . . like I could be a space man, myself or written this story. And I think that's a part perhaps the largest part of what the author would like us to enjoy and what the reader expresses successfully; that our adaptable abilities as sapiens and the persistence of affection, that coats every human thought and clings to every act, is what make each member of mankind special and unique.
