Historia
A man. His ex-girlfriend's cat. A sadistic game show unlike anything in the universe: a dungeon crawl where survival depends on killing your prey in the most entertaining way possible. In a flash, every human-erected construction on Earth - from Buckingham Palace to the tiniest of sheds - collapses in a heap, sinking into the ground. The buildings and all the people inside have all been atomized and transformed into the dungeon: an 18-level labyrinth filled with traps, monsters, and loot.

Mixed Feelings
Revisado: 03-18-25
Overused obscenities. If limited foul language, the story would have been really good. Funny... annoying.... FUNNY. Different from all other LitRPGs. Again, the language was distractingly excessive and low brow.

Silas is inducted into the System, becoming the last in a long line of Earth's "forerunners." The rewards are great, but the danger is greater. We are not alone in the universe. The fate of five worlds hangs on how their forerunners perform. Will Silas have what it takes to win Earth a place in the multiverse? Or will Earth become another mining world stripped of all resources and left a barren husk floating in the cosmos?

Good protagonists development
Revisado: 03-04-25
Good book. Empathy for the protagonist; however, he does get some favorable writing. Definitely will get the next book.

Good again, Amazing narrator
Revisado: 05-04-24
This narrator is so good I can't believe this is one person with all these voices, genders, and accents.
Same impervious hero. Elevated challenges. Some large peripheral character growth, yet and most not.
Very interested in where the next book goes. Semi predictable but a chance for a divergent or elevated story

Historia
Rezkin is an elite warrior who aims to restore order in Ashai after Caydean's attack on the King's Tournament transformed former allies and trading partners into enemies. With no army and only a ragtag group of refugees, Rezkin must wrest control of the kingdom from the mad and powerful usurper, who seems bent on destruction, and this may not be the biggest challenge. If he fails, the kingdom will be ripped apart, and Rezkin will have violated Rule 1 - to protect and honor his friends.

Couldn't put it down
Revisado: 04-15-24
The book truly has you locked in cheering for the lead character, even though nothing could possibly overcome him.
From a literature viewpoint, it is not well written. The hero doesn't overcome a self-weakness, a major adversary, or a spiritual challenge. It's as if any gaps the character had were covered up from a post-realization or a special unearned weapon/tool. The peripheral characters had minor growth. New characters were added to fill other gaps and prepare for the next book's challenge.
From a fantasy viewpoint, it's Superman and King Arthur merged together, where the young adult generation saves the kingdom from the venerated constituents.

Revisiting classic adventures has been extremely successful. "Queen of the Demonweb Pits" was one of the most popular adventures ever created for the Dungeons & Dragons game. This novelization appeals to those who have played through the adventure, as well as to those who have an interest in drow elves - one of the most popular races in the game.

Historia
The scales have tipped. The battle for Namdhor, the north, and the entire realm of man was a sure victory for the orcs. But they lost. Now, under the rule of a would-be-king, the armies of man fuel the war when they should be bolstering their defenses. Only a few understand that time is against them, yet these few must fight alone if the dawn is to rise over Illian once more. The heroes of the realm have banded together, but they cannot fight side by side. There is only one way they can win, seen by the oldest dragon and preserved inside the broken mind of a ranger.

Too much elaborating each character's mindset and past, nearly every chapter. ugh. otherwise, I liked the new characters, personalities, and struggles.
