The interactions with Ukrainian forces and Russian politics.
Revisado: 04-23-25
The book kept moving well with a couple of intermediate gun fights. The setting up of the raid was interesting and made one think about how much guerrilla activity is actually going on in Russia. One of his better Great Man books.

Historia
With President Anthony Cook convinced that Mitch Rapp poses a mortal threat to him, CIA Director Irene Kennedy is forced to construct a truce between the two men. The terms are simple: Rapp agrees to leave the country and stay in plain sight for as long as Cook controls the White House. In exchange, the administration agrees not to make any moves against him. This fragile détente holds until Cook’s power-hungry security adviser convinces him that Rapp has no intention of honoring their agreement. To put him on the defensive, they leak the identity of his partner, Claudia Gould.

I looked up the constant action and the c solutions provided to the attempts to kill Rap. Some of the wall stuff and I thought in may be continued differently than the conclusion.

An Unusual Story
Revisado: 10-19-22
There are so many aspects to the book I find it a little hard to review so I’ll stick to one aspect. The Author talks about her relationship with God and her heartbreaking breakup with her fiancé. she skillfully describes her journey of healing through Gods leading. Most never talk about this and perhaps believe the story is purely one persons delusion. I am familiar with what the Author is telling you as I have seen pictures, met some of the people and know the Authors heart. sine the Narrator is also the author you get the fullness of the emotions as she re-experiences her journey.

Historia
It is 997 CE, the end of the Dark Ages. England is facing attacks from the Welsh in the west and the Vikings in the east. Those in power bend justice according to their will, regardless of ordinary people and often in conflict with the king. Without a clear rule of law, chaos reigns. In these turbulent times, three characters find their lives intertwined.

Fab story...but less sex and violence preferred
Revisado: 01-04-21
I almost could not quit listening. He gets your attention from the beginning, sets up great characters, describes things so well, throws in so many surprises, and makes it all so believable. However, I struggle with violence and think that it could be a bit less graphically described here. Also, someone else in their review mentioned that the amount of sex made it seem x-rated and I would agree that it could be toned down too. There was plenty to keep you interested without that being needed. The story always has good win out over evil and basic moral principles upheld, so that was good. I recommend it with warnings of the sex and violence.

Historia
When Mitch Rapp captures ISIS’s top technology expert, he reveals that he was on his way to meet a man who claims to have the ability to bring down America’s power grid. Rapp is determined to eliminate this shadowy figure, but the CIA’s trap fails. The Agency is still trying to determine what went wrong when ISIS operatives help this cyber terrorist do what he said he could — plunge the country into darkness. With no concept of how this unprecedented act was accomplished, the task of getting the power back on could take months. Perhaps even years.

A little bit off the wall
Revisado: 09-27-20
While the idea is plausible I thought the story wandered. It was not on par with other Mitch Rapp novels. Too many hokey scenarios.

Historia
When we seek an example of great leaders with unalloyed courage, the person who comes to mind is Winston Churchill: the iconic, visionary war leader immune from the consensus of the day, who stood firmly for his beliefs when everyone doubted him. But how did young Winston become Churchill? What gave him the strength to take on the superior force of Nazi Germany when bombs rained on London and so many others had caved? In this landmark biography of Winston Churchill based on extensive new material, the true genius of the man, statesman, and leader can finally be fully understood.

Well done -The Good and The Not So Good
Revisado: 02-10-19
I thought this was a comprehensive and insightful
Look at Churchill’s life. It was obvious that the author
Had access to a trove of data that may not have been available prior to the year 2000.
At times I thought I was living then as ROBERTS takes you through familial relationships, political crises and wartime decision making sessions .
Any student of history or one who enjoys the study of personal character will enjoy this biography.
It’s long but well worth the time to gain an understanding of one of history’s great men.

Historia
12 Strong is the dramatic account of a small band of Special Forces soldiers who secretly entered Afghanistan following 9/11 and rode to war on horses against the Taliban. Outnumbered 40 to one, they pursued the enemy army across the mountainous Afghanistan terrain and, after a series of intense battles, captured the city of Mazar-i-Sharif. The bone-weary American soldiers were welcomed as liberators as they rode into the city. Then the action took a wholly unexpected turn.

Great Story About The Forgotten Army
Revisado: 05-16-18
Fast paced and Insightful look at the early days after 911. The accounts of personal bravery amid the complexity of fractional religious groups in mid century culture are helpful to understanding the Afghanistan problem. I think the author failed us by not at least giving us an account of the special forces team (Jason Amerine’s SF team) that was on a parallel mission in the south with Hamed Karzai’s group since that group became dominant.
