Historia
With more than seventy years on the silver screen, Shirley MacLaine has, as she says, seen it all, done it all, been everywhere, and met everyone. Since making her Hollywood debut in 1955, her popularity has only grown as she’s amassed a stunning collection of awards and written multiple bestselling memoirs. Now, at ninety years old, MacLaine has more stories to tell and the pictures to bring them to life.

I did not think the book was long enough to qualify for 1 credit. It was just too short.
The information was just OK. I feel she could have related much more about her life.

Historia
This joint biography of Bette Davis and Joan Crawford follows Hollywood's most epic rivalry throughout their careers. They only worked together once, in the classic spine-chiller What Ever Happened to Baby Jane, and their violent hatred of each other as rival sisters was no act. In real life they fought over as many men as they did film roles.

I liked the entire book. Both Bette and Joan were portrayed well by the reader.
The book is full of the history of both Joan and Bette.
Joan is portrayed very differently than the book her daughter Christina wrote about her. Ir leaves you wondering if that account of her is actually true. In this book Joan comes across as very loving and kind.
Bette is portrayed much as what her interviews and old footage of her reveal.
I really enjoyed the book very much.
I recommend it highly.

An amazing actor with a now tarnished memory
Revisado: 12-17-23
The history of Peter Lawford’s life was very in depth and interesting.
However, many parts of his life should have remained personal and private. I don’t understand what the reasoning was to tarnish his image with so many accounts of drugs, alcohol, and sex. Some accounts were so personal that it was actually embarrassing to read and left you wondering why there was a need to tell these very private details of his life after he is gone.
There has been way too much included in this book that should have went with him to his final resting place.

I could not quit listening to the book from the moment I started listening to it.
It is well written and flows along smoothly. You feel like you are there with Jackie, John, Caroline, and Kathy. You can visualize the apartment and feel a part of every chapter.
I highly recommend this book especially to anyone who has an interest in the Kennedy family.
The Irish accent of the reader made the book even more interesting and draws you into each chapter.

Great book!
Revisado: 02-03-23
This is such a good book. It held my interest from start to finish. The information Jerry Schilling gives about Elvis’s early life playing football with him and others there in Memphis paints a picture of Elvis that shows what a regular guy he really was even though his stardom qualities were already shining through!
He was simply the greatest. He will always be my favorite. No other singer or performer can ever take his place.
I will forever miss him and love who he was.
Thank you Jerry Schilling for this amazing book.
