Historia
Business has been booming since Morgan Carter solved the case of the monster living in Lake Michigan. The Odds and Ends bookstore is thriving, of course, but Morgan is most excited by the doors that were opened for her as a cryptid hunter. Recently, there have been numerous sightings of a Bigfoot-type creature in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest area of Bayfield County, Wisconsin. After a man is found dead from a vicious throat injury in the forest, the conservation warden asks Morgan to investigate.

Historia
Almost-authentic medium Claire and her best friend, Sophie, agree to take on a seemingly simple job at a crumbling old manor in the English countryside: performing a seance for the family matriarch's 80th birthday. The pair have been friends since before Sophie went missing when they were seventeen. Everyone else is convinced Sophie simply ran away, but Claire knows the truth. Claire knows Sophie was murdered because Sophie has been haunting her ever since.

Very difficult to listen to this narration
Revisado: 10-06-24
I could not finish this. Unfortunately, the narration was not varied and became monotonous. This resulted in it becoming a bit confusing at times. The storyline was good. The characters Claire and Sophie were the reason I listen to it halfway through, but I could not finish.

The perfect neighborhood can be the perfect place to hide… Who wouldn’t want to live in Brighton Hills? This exclusive community on the Oregon coast is the perfect mix of luxury and natural beauty. Stunning houses nestle beneath mighty Douglas firs, and lush backyards roll down to the lakefront. It’s the kind of place where neighbors look out for one another. Sometimes a little too closely…

Character development and slow build was wonderful. And exposed human emotion and behavior in the courage of the women.

Deception at its finest
Revisado: 09-18-24
I liked the story. I really liked that I didn’t care for the protagonist and her easy slide into lies and deception ; lots of thought and imagination went into the storyline. Not a fan of the narrator.

Once again, a page Turner with unexpected developments.
Revisado: 09-15-24
I enjoy the characters and the art Glass uses to develop some and insert others. The plot was good and a lot of unexpected developments kept me on my toes. The editing in the production left something to be desired. At the beginning of each new section or chapter it was cut off and it cut off the first couple of words which was disconcerting frustrating at times.

Historia
When Anna Hartley’s husband, Henry, calls her with a terrible, guilty confession, she can’t believe what she hears. It has to be a bad joke—the mild, predictable artist she married would never hurt a fly, let alone commit murder. But her confusion turns to horror when police find his body washed up on the banks of the Rio Grande.

I really have enjoyed the Maid books. I like that I have no idea the year they are set in and so they seem almost timeless. The plots are good lots of fun in the twists and turns… and the character development of Molly and others easy to understand and follow.
