A great translation of Oedipus

Would you consider the audio edition of Oedipus the King to be better than the print version?

The audiobook did allow me to absorb the story better than the print version.

What did you like best about this story?

It was a great translation of the classic greek tragedy.

I can see why Oedipus has stood the test of time since 429 BCE. I highly recommend this audiobook to students who need to understand quickly. It's quite a daunting read but the audiobook makes it much more easier. And I highly recommend to those who simply want to dip their minds into ancient greek literature or want to understand a classical example of greek tragedy. The story's message is quite clear: Oedipus's own faults contribute to his downfall. Overall, I found it to be an enjoyable and clear reading.

This was truly a great inspiring novel! Its a testament to what we are all capable of and the fortitude of the human soul. Hearing about the obstacles that Kenneth Bracewell faced was quite emotional, it really makes one reexamine their life. I quite loved the insights into Operation Iraqi Freedom, as well. Overall, I highly recommend!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I highly recommend, " Becoming Generation Flux." It's a very comprehensive yet concise audiobook on career planning. There are many insights on the data on unemployment and labor trends. I appreciated how the author also gives historical context so that his readers can better understand the influxes of the job market. For example, he explains how machines have dramatically changed the era that we live in and resulted in the decline of white collar jobs. The author mentioned people in my generation (90s kids) and how we are more at risk to lie with our parents. This resonated highly with me. However, I feel better prepared and wiser in my career. This audiobook has definitely given me some useful tips and methods.

The labor market is broken. Boo!

Great message that every woman needs to hear

I've to say that Lynn Gilliard is a very talented writer! This book contains a powerful message of self-respect and loving oneself before you are able to settle into a relationship. It sounds like an easy enough rule yet the author explains this in greater depth and why many women got lost within this rule. The author lays out a very brilliant and doable plan on getting a greater amount of males to chase you and staying away from being the one who is always doing the chasing. Overall, I love how the book contains inspiring messages of self-love and yet still has juicy stories from the authors own life. This made the book entertaining and still be able to get a useful message from each story. I highly recommend this book!

If you could sum up Be Strong, Be Tough, Be Smart in three words, what would they be?

Emotional, powerful, and inspiring.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Be Strong, Be Tough, Be Smart?

Denny running into the snowy woods without any shoes was quite an intense moment. Once the author gives Denny a strict lesson on how to behave( being in the drive way in 5 minutes) I feel was a quite dramatic moment for both the son and his father.

Such an inspiring read! Working with high-risk youth and those with special cases made me connect with the book. I quite appreciate the first-hand accounts the author documents and the lessons he derives from his son, Denny. After reading this novel, I take with me a few new lessons in deal with students with ASD. Even if you don't personally have encounters with a child with ASD, it's still a quite powerful story. I believe this is way I enjoyed the book: it was two levels. In one hand, it's a powerful story about a father dealing the the strifes of life. On a second level the book reads an a stepping stool for knowledge in dealing with a child with ASD.

Would you listen to The Spirit: Awakening again? Why?

Yes I would listen to it again because I want my young niece to enjoy this story with me. It's a great novel that both adult and children can enjoy.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The imagery and the pathos I felt for the characters had me react more so than I do with the average novel. Even at the start of the novel, I already cared about the animals. Take for example the the boar and the troll's conversation at the start. It had such a mysterious tone to it that I had no choice but to be drawn into it.

What a lovely summer read! "The Spirit: Awakening," is a whimsical tale that centers on the daring adventures of a strong and lovable female protagonist (Adele). The book contains many cute and imaginative characters. I love how the author brings these characters to life by adding vivid details and amiable personified traits. By having such strong character development to begin with, and adding striking imagery is what makes this novel truly exceptional. Overall, this is a well-written and highly creative story. The plot is intriguing and the story moves in a fast pace. I was never bored, and I was sad to finish it in one sitting. I will certainly revisit this novel with my niece soon! I highly suggest adding this to your summer reading list.

A Must Read.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I've already recommended this book to my friends and family for many reasons. The author introduces many interesting talking points that were worth discussing. Also, the information provided in the book is insightful.

What did you like best about this story?

How concise the author is. He seems to realize that his readers don't need twenty pages on a single topic that can be explained in one page. Also, he's very practical and knowledgeable in his field.

What about Zed Starkovich’s performance did you like?

It was a pleasant and clear voice.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I was able to go through this book in a single sitting.

Philip Fanara succinctly instructs his readers how to practically and carefully get ahead in the Stock Market. As a person who is new to the Stock Market, I found his book to be highly insightful in the chaotic world of the Stock Market, yet it’s written in such a way that allows the reader to grasp his concepts, strategies, and terminology. I can see how those with diverse experiences in the Stock Market can benefit from this read, therefore I’ve recommended it to all of my family and friends. Already, I have had some friends tell me they’ve employed Mr. Fanara’s strategies with favorable results. These strategies work because it’s total common sense, one of these being keeping your profile diverse.

Overall, this three percentage approach has certainly caught my attention. I don’t personally buy into most of these types of books. There are too many get rich quick schemes and I don’t even bother with such foolish dreams. What this book is advocating is not a foolish dream. Far from it, it’s simply a tangible way to make extra income and intelligently utilize your hard-earn money. I can’t stress enough this book is worth reading and I can’t wait to try out his methods in investing.
