Historia
In the 10 years since his classic Kitchen Confidential first alerted us to the idiosyncrasies and lurking perils of eating out, much has changed for the subculture of chefs and cooks, for the restaurant business and for Anthony Bourdain. Medium Raw explores those changes, tracking Bourdain's strange and unexpected voyage from journeyman cook to globe-traveling professional eater and drinker, and even to fatherhood. Bourdain takes no prisoners as he dissects what he's seen.

I didn't realize that I could genuinely miss someone I didn't actually know. he was a wonderful writer. his wit and casual grace with the grit of honest glimpses of humanity was his superpower. I didn't know he read his books on here. Bezos will get more of my money now bc i have to hear him read them all!

great story
Revisado: 05-25-20
it's a very "matter of fact" story about the first woman to cross the Pacific Ocean. She emphasizes the things that she felt she needed to do to maintain her femininity while accomplishing what she was driven to as a sailor. great story!

Historia
In 1912, scientist Marie Curie spent two months on the British seaside at the home of Hertha Ayrton, an accomplished mathematician, inventor, and suffragette. At the time, Curie was in the throes of a scandal in France over her affair with Paul Langevin, which threatened to overshadow the accomplishment of her second Nobel Prize. Performed by Kate Mulgrew and Francesca Faridany at the Minetta Lane Theatre, this play by Lauren Gunderson is an ode to two remarkable women.
