Couldn't Stop Listening!

I wanted to know more about Fort Sumter but didn't pay attention as to who the narrator of the book was. When I heard Will Patton's voice I smiled. No one would be better to give such a title an ominous, creepy tone than he. I love when he narrates Stephen King and he was perfect for this reading. I will definitely read more by Erik Larson.

I can't remember a book that has engulfed me like The Covenant of Water. I have become consumed with recommending it to anyone who will listen. I was driving while listening to the end and started sobbing so much that I had to pull over! The way the author interlocked all of the characters was genius. His narration is very soothing. No one else could've narrated.

This book should be required reading for every American. It makes me feel so ashamed to be Caucasian. I’m so sorry that slavery happened and ruined so many lives and we are still dealing with the despicable results.

I have listened to "books on tape" for so long that when I first started listening to them they literally were on cassette tape. "Your Dad Stole My Rake" by Tom Papa is by far the most insightful and funniest book ever! I love Tom Papa and his deliver is right on.
