Ultimate road trip listen
Revisado: 04-30-18
Great actors, silly stories, I wish it was a movie I could’ve seen. I almost turned it off without listening to the bonus live reading at the end. While it repeats many of the same things from the book, it was a hilarious and I would happily sit through a full reading of it.

Ideas for Tomb of Annihilation
Revisado: 02-15-18
This book was a fun little listen that I got to help out with ideas for the campaign I’m running. There are a lot of differences with what the campaign’s Chult and this one, but there are plenty of great ideas for source material, descriptions of the jungle, and interactions with things and peoples of Chult.

Historia
Nineteen-year-old Greg Sestero met Tommy Wiseau at an acting school in San Francisco. Wiseau's scenes were rivetingly wrong, yet Sestero, hypnotized by such uninhibited acting, thought, "I have to do a scene with this guy." That impulse changed both of their lives. The Disaster Artist is Greg Sestero's laugh-out-loud funny account of how Tommy Wiseau defied every law of artistry, business, and friendship to make "the Citizen Kane of bad movies" ( Entertainment Weekly), which is now an international phenomenon.

What Hearts of Darkness is to Apocalypse Now
Revisado: 12-29-17
It’s not that the room isn’t funny, it just wasn’t something I could take as much joy and laughing at. However, the story of making it, the friendship between Greg and Tommy, and all of the maddening details of the truth are far more interesting than all of the Zeitgeist surrounding the room.

Historia
Al Franken, Giant of the Senate is a book about an unlikely campaign that had an even more improbable ending: the closest outcome in history and an unprecedented eight-month recount saga, which is pretty funny in retrospect. It's a book about what happens when the nation's foremost progressive satirist gets a chance to serve in the United States Senate and, defying the low expectations of the pundit class, actually turns out to be good at it.

How the sausage is made
Revisado: 06-14-17
This is a great story told with humility. Franken gives a behind the scenes take on his path to become a senator and how federal politics really work. It's brutal, optimistic and quite funny.

Great book for transition and inspiration
Revisado: 02-07-17
To belittle this book: it's a listicle of great Americans. That said, it offers a diverse, well rounded and inspirational crew of people that color the author's world view. Presidents, carpenters, civic planners , entertainers and others are featured for what they mean to the author, America's history and their impact on the world. Nick's list of heroes have much to offer and he tells their stories beautifully.

Historia
A young, naïve but ultimately courageous hedge knight, Ser Duncan the Tall towers above his rivals—in stature if not experience. Tagging along is his diminutive squire, a boy called Egg—whose true name is hidden from all he and Dunk encounter. Though more improbable heroes may not be found in all of Westeros, great destinies lay ahead for these two . . . as do powerful foes, royal intrigue, and outrageous exploits. Featuring more than 160 all-new illustrations by Gary Gianni, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is a must-have collection that proves chivalry isn’t dead—yet.

Fun stories, first class acting
Revisado: 02-07-17
Harry's voice work captures every emotion of the lead character perhaps better than any audio performance I've ever heard. I enjoy these stories, perhaps more that the novels, but the narration shows incredibly such rich character development become more attached to this side character more than any lead from the novels.

Great book with compelling actors
Revisado: 02-07-17
The book was humorous, thoughtful and had great perspective. Sarah's has the best voice to read her own words. The voices actors that read the quotes added a lot of depth to the production.
