Historia
When Dr. Scott W. Atlas was tapped by Donald Trump to join his COVID Task Force, he was immediately thrust into a maelstrom of scientific disputes, policy debates, raging egos, politically motivated lies, and cynical media manipulation. Numerous myths and distortions surround the Trump Administration’s handling of the crisis, and many pressing questions remain unanswered.

This is a remarkable behind-the-curtain look at the bureaucratic nincompoopery that led our nation during COVID. It is doubtful that they could have done any worse.

Historia
The most important fact about the coronavirus pandemic that turned the world upside down in 2020 is that our response to it has been an epic overreaction driven by a disastrous confluence of public and private interests - all of them purporting to “follow the science”. Since the lockdowns began, millions of Americans have relied on the reporting of Alex Berenson. Exposing the hysteria and manipulation behind the worst failure of public policy since World War I, this clear-eyed journalist has been a critical source of reason and truth.

Essential Reading

Even for those of us who paid close attention during the entire pandemic, Berenson pulls it all together like no other.
A hundred years from now when Memoirs Of Extraordinary Popular Delusions And The Madness Of Crowds is updated, Pandemia will be the most prominent chapter.

What does everyone in the modern world need to know? Renowned psychologist Jordan B. Peterson's answer to this most difficult of questions uniquely combines the hard-won truths of ancient tradition with the stunning revelations of cutting-edge scientific research. Humorous, surprising, and informative, Dr. Peterson tells us why skateboarding boys and girls must be left alone, what terrible fate awaits those who criticize too easily, and why you should always pet a cat when you meet one on the street.

Great Book - Could Have Used A Little More Editing
Revisado: 12-02-21
Peterson's 12 rules are wonderful, but could have been conveyed just as impactfully in about half the time and with improved organization.
The Bible for research psychology is Thinking Fast And Slow by Daniel Kahneman. Peterson's 12 Rules For Life is the clinical psychology compliment, pulling in elements of philosophy, religion, and even mythology.

Historia
Malcolm Gladwell, author of New York Times best sellers including Talking to Strangers and host of the podcast Revisionist History, uses original interviews, archival footage, and his trademark insight to weave together the stories of a Dutch genius and his homemade computer, a band of brothers in Central Alabama, a British psychopath, and pyromaniacal chemists at Harvard. As listeners hear these stories unfurl, Gladwell examines one of the greatest moral challenges in modern American history.

You Can't Go Wrong With Gladwell
Revisado: 11-10-21
A fascinating story, well told - as always - by Gladwell.
This is the first audiobook that has really shown me the advantages an audiobook can wield. Punctuated with actual recording snippets, this is more like a long podcast.
Gladwell is even-handed enough that he doesn't really reveal which side of the moral issue he is on until the very end. And by then, you might not agree with him.

Historia
The Marine Corps Way of War: The Evolution of the U.S. Marine Corps from Attrition to Maneuver Warfare in the Post-Vietnam Era examines the evolving doctrine, weapons, and capability of the United States Marine Corps during the four decades since our last great conflict in Asia. As author Anthony Piscitelli demonstrates, the USMC has maintained its position as the nation’s foremost striking force while shifting its thrust from a reliance upon attrition to a return to maneuver warfare.

This is interesting material, but with "B" writing and "D-" narration. A worthy subject. But first listen to Boyd by Robert Coram.
