Historia
Until this morning, Charlotte Pudding was almost happy with her life. Apart from her homicidal toaster, dead parents, and general ennui. Well, maybe not that happy. Either way, now that she’s on the run from a shadowy corporation, seeking the secrets of her own family history and tolerating the inanities of a retired god, things are looking a bit more interesting.

Dry Wit at its Best
Revisado: 04-20-16
What did you love best about Engines of Empathy?
The humor, and the cleverness of the story.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Engines of Empathy?
It's a bit hard to pick one! For me, the best parts were the ones that made me laugh out loud, and it's difficult to pick just one of those!
Which character – as performed by Fiona Thraille – was your favorite?
Charlotte Pudding. She's a great female lead :)
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
I wouldn't presume to try and write one of those for this. But really, if you mention empathic toasters, what more would you need?
Any additional comments?
I've read Paul Mannering's Tankbread as well as this, and love his writing. I really enjoyed the humor in this book as well as the lack of zombies :) He's now right up there with my favorite funny sci-fi authors.

Historia
Before entering this life, Maryah did the unthinkable - she erased. Now, at 17 years old, she's clueless that her new adoptive family has known her for centuries, that they are perpetually reincarnated souls, and that they have supernatural abilities. Oh, and she's supposed to love (not despise) Nathan, the green-eyed daredevil who saved her life.

Reincarnated Reading Experience
Revisado: 04-20-16
Would you listen to Grasping at Eternity again? Why?
Absolutely. This is actually a re-read for me as I've read it in e-book form before, so I knew I'd love the story. It's the first time I've re-read a story as an audiobook, and it added a whole new dimension for me, like re-discovering an old friend. I'll definitely listen again.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Grasping at Eternity?
The big finale, really. But I can't tell you about that because spoilers!
Which character – as performed by Noah Michael Levine and Erin deWard – was your favorite?
Nathan, but then I've always had a bit of a crush on him! I loved the way Erin did all the female characters too, especially Sheila, for some reason! Must have been the Irish accent.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Er, that's a tricky question. Have you ever tried to write a good tag line before?
I'll just say it'd include the words: Love! Reincarnation! Magic! Stars!
Any additional comments?
I'm a big Karen fan, and if you loved this book, just wait for the next one! Squee :)
