Historia
In 2012, Craig Stanland made a choice that would cost him everything. After he had exploited the warranty policy of one of the largest tech companies in the world for almost a year, the FBI finally knocked on his door. Blank Canvas is a meditation on our remarkable capacity to rebuild and reinvent our lives. Through powerful storytelling, Craig proves that our greatest adversities do not have to be the end. Sometimes, they can be our greatest beginning.

Inspiring and thought provoking but not dry
Revisado: 02-21-25
I always appreciate when an author records the books themselves. The story was heart wrenching, happy, and calming. I wrote down several inspirations so I will remember.
I never read self-help books, and I’m not sure this book is intended to be one, but I came away with a story and so much more. The author’s words have voiced some of my own fears and how he made it through. Totally worth a second listen to catch what I didn’t get the first time.

There’s nothing to not love here.
Revisado: 07-09-24
The characters and their surroundings were so richly developed. I could picture them just as if I was watching a movie.
The story line kept me guessing how the mystery would end. Early in the book I had an inkling but dismissed it.
I’m a new reader of Nora Roberts writing and I look forward to the next one. I have to say Tucker is my new favorite fictional character.

Historia
In Still Just a Geek, Wil revisits his 2004 collection of blog posts, Just a Geek, filled with insightful and often laugh-out-loud annotated comments, additional later writings, and all new material written for this publication. The result is an incredibly raw and honest memoir, in which Wil opens up about his life, about falling in love, about coming to grips with his past work, choices, and family, and finding fulfillment in the new phases of his career.

I was sort of a fan before
Revisado: 05-09-23
First off, Will reads the material superbly. I liked listening to him regardless of what he as saying. But it’s what he was saying that was often the problem for me. Stop apologizing for having written in the terms and phrases we used to use. Say it once in the beginning and let it go.
I did find many of the stories interesting but he lost me when he repeatedly talked about how smart and brilliant he is. Yes, I am sure he is, but going on and on about it was just annoying and off-putting.
He was so very lucky to find his wife because I am sure his struggles have been a heavy load for her to bear. But they’ve gotten through it all and seem to be a strong couple.
I’m not much of a fan anymore, which is sort of a shame. Live long and prosper, Will.

What a surprise this book was!
Revisado: 05-06-23
I expected to be entertained by stories it YnR but I was entertained and educated by the story of a full life well lived. I think Eric Braden is one of the most interesting people out there. He’s a great inspiration and as genuine as can be.

Historia
Smart, hilarious, and incisive, the Liberal Rednecks confront outdated traditions and intolerant attitudes, tackling everything people think they know about the South - the good, the bad, the glorious, and the shameful - in a laugh-out-loud funny and lively manifesto for the rise of a New South. Home to some of the best music, athletes, soldiers, whiskey, waffles, and weather the country has to offer, the South has also been bathing in backward bathroom bills and other bigoted legislation.

Funny, serious, heart warming and thought provoking
Revisado: 10-11-21
I’ve been listening to these guys’ podcasts and YouTube for quite a while. Through this book, I feel I understand them and know their hearts better.
The stories they tell are warm and relatable, even when they are sad and tragic. I’ll be thinking about The common sense they provide on social issues, how we got there and how we can work our way out for a long time.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and wish it hadn’t ended. I do hope each of you will write an autobiography some day. I will be first in line to buy them.
Thank ya, love ya, and skew!
