Historia
When Emma moves to Astoria, Oregon, she is given two rules: #1 - don’t cross to “their” side of the street. #2 - don’t mess with the elites, especially Lexen Darken, top elite and resident bad boy. While she finds this both weird and insulting, Emma has no actual intention of breaking these rules - until her guardians go missing. Now all bets are off. Only a single line separates her side of the street from the elites', and she's crossing it.

Jaymin Eve and Vanessa Moyen are made for each other
Revisado: 09-15-22
I loved this series the first time I read it and I still nostalgically love it years later. It’s not the most well-developed story, but it is creative and fun. The first book has a lot of similarities to events from curse of the gods so you’ll notice quite a few parallels. I didn’t pick up on them the first time I read it, but I had only read CotG once at that point. Now that I’ve read CotG 5 time the similarities are VERY noticeable. This story has very light romance and the relationship development isn’t really there, they hate each other and then love each other and there is one fade to black sex scene at the end but I’d argue that this series is not really about romance at all. The plot and FMCs are more central throughout the series.

No promises. No expectations. No names. That’s what Emmett Stone agreed to with the woman who caught his eye two months ago. After years of drama following the end of his motorcycle club, a no-strings fling with a mystery woman is exactly what he needs. Except as they find themselves together more and more, it’s impossible for him to keep his feelings at bay. She’s clever and sassy. She’s gracious and kind. She loves riding on the back of his bike every Saturday afternoon and lazing in his bed every Sunday morning. She’s the perfect woman.

Some slow parts, overall good
Revisado: 09-01-21
Narration was very good! I liked the story considering this trope isn’t my favorite. I’m not really a fan of drawn out deceptions, but I knew that going into this one.
I wish the other series characters played a bigger role in this book. Considering it was the last one in the series, I expected the rest of the gang to at least show up, but there were very few sightings. The heroine doesn’t even meet the previous heroines until the very end of the story which I thought was a bit of a bummer.
Otherwise it’s as good as the rest of the series and if you liked the first 5 books I think you’ll like this one

When Anna wakes up from a coma after a car crash, she discovers life has gone on without her. Her husband has been unfaithful - with her best friend - and she’s been long since replaced at work. While her old life is a distant memory, her new life feels like an empty shell. Then she meets the stranger who saved her life during the crash, and he changes everything. Leif Larsen - tattooist, joker, and player - has his own scars thanks to the crash that put Anna in a coma. Helping her move on from her failed marriage, and create a new life, sounds like a perfect distraction.

Needed a little extra development toward the end
Revisado: 04-28-21
I liked this story, but I felt like the ending was pretty abrupt and I had some unresolved feelings. I wish that it was just a little bit longer to include more resolution about the ex/ex-friend and a little more resolution on the guy at the end. It was very cute and sweet in general, but I definitely felt like there was room to add some stuff at the end without it being too much or overdone.
I LOVE Andi Arndt and she did an amazing job.

If you like IG and Dianne Duvall, you’ll love it
Revisado: 01-20-21
I think I had a stupid grin on my face for the vast majority of this book. This was a really fun read!
For me the only drawback was that Eliana is such a ‘bruh girl’, it works for story since she’s just hanging out with dudes the whole time talking about weapons and eating (and has been doing that for centuries). But it was a little over the top for me 😅 I’m sure a lot of people can identify with her and this was a super realistic portrayal of a bruh girl, but I couldn’t see myself hanging out with her at all. She’d probably drive me nuts in reality, but like I said it worked for the story. I loved the Segonians, I loved the premise of the story and the plot, I loved Dagon, and as always adored the world-building that Dianne brought to this story. I can’t wait for more in this series!
I wish there was a preview for the next one at the end of the audio so I could be tormented for another 6 months 🤣🤣🤣

Historia
Nick Belanger can't stop thinking about the single mother who lives next door. She's smart. She's funny. She's so beautiful he can't stare at her too long for fear his eyes will start to glow. But Kayla thinks he's just an ordinary guy who works in security. Finding out he instead is a powerful immortal warrior who hunts and slays psychotic vampires for a living may not go over well, particularly since she has a daughter she doesn't want to endanger.

Another great addition to the IG world.
Revisado: 06-16-20
This one could essentially be a standalone. You don’t really need to read the other books in the series in order to understand the events that happen in this one. Everything vital about the IG world is explained within the book and while there are references to other characters you wouldn’t feel out of the loop if you haven’t read their books. For all intents and purposes this is a spin-off so don’t expect any plot carry over.
I did like Nick and Kayla and I felt like their story was very sweet. The conflict within the book stands alone and is resolved at the end of the book, no cliffhanger. I feel like I would have liked the story to be a little bit longer, maybe to have included some more scenes with Kayla’s daughter (especially at the end).
If you like this series so far, you’ll like this book. It’s follows the same writing and plot pattern of pretty much all of the IG books up to this point.

It's been thirteen years since Lucy Sheridan was in Summer River. The last time she visited her aunt Sara there, as a teenager, she'd been sent home suddenly after being dragged out of a wild party - by the guy she had a crush on, just to make it more embarrassing.

Boring. Terrible narration.
Revisado: 05-19-20
This book was so boring. I struggled to get through it. I knew who the main criminal was from the moment they were introduced (although I didn’t guess at all the different connections and crimes).
I listened to the audiobook and the narration was awful. I’ve listened to the narrator before and I know she can do other voices- but in this one there was no discerning between characters. It was impossible to follow some of the dialogue because you couldn’t tell who said what.

Stellar
Revisado: 04-26-20
I loved this spin-off of the Immortal Guardians series. It’s such a creative way to really transition things into a totally new world. Duvall can be a bit repetitive and the Immortal Guardians series follows a bit of a formulaic romance style, but the Lasaran definitely deviates from that and gives us a fresh story. There is overlap between the two series and while I don’t think you HAVE to read the Immortal Guardians to read the Lasaran, I’d recommend it. The teaser for book 2 is what really got me excited for the rest of this series.

Didn’t love it
Revisado: 03-09-20
A lot of repetitive lines that are kinda annoying after a while (like ‘Drowning. Drowning. Drowning.’ and ‘Again. Again. Again.’). A weird instalove relationship with cagey dramatic pasts. Unsure why the characters even like each other. The guy is obsessed with the girl after a couple days and after he ruthlessly dumps her he swoops back in a week later and wants to be her baby’s step dad. Just not a believable relationship or scenario. I want to know what happens next due to the dramatic cliffhanger, but I don’t really want to read the next book. Maybe I’ll change my mind in the morning.
Also side note on the audio- I usually love Andi and Sebastian but there are a lot of spots where they dubbed in missed lines and Andi changes her accent CONSTANTLY throughout.

Historia
When wilderness guide Harper Ward is summoned to the small town sheriff's office in Helena Springs, Montana, to provide assistance on a case, she is shocked to find that their only suspect in the double murder investigation is a man described as a savage. But the longer she watches the man known only as Lucas, on the station surveillance camera, the more intrigued she becomes. He certainly looks primitive with his unkempt appearance and animal skin attire, but she also sees intelligence in his eyes, sensitivity in his expression. Who is he?

Excellent!
Revisado: 09-20-19
I love Mia Sheridan and this was no exception. This story is wonderful and heartfelt. It’s creative and kept me guessing. The romance is sweet and isn’t cheesy or too unrealistic (which I was kinda expecting given the ‘wild-man’ premise). My only issue is there is a chapter in the beginning where the male narrator is narrating the wrong POV. It should have been the female narrator (it’s when they’re leaving the police station- it’s Harper’s POV with the male narrator)

Luna Rexroth is everyone’s favorite wallflower. Underneath the meek, tomboy exterior everyone loves (yet pities) is a girl who knows exactly what, and who, she wants - namely, the boy from the tree house who taught her how to curse in sign language. Who taught her how to laugh. To live. To love. Knight Cole is everyone’s favorite football hero. This daredevil hell-raiser could knock you up with his gaze alone, but he only has eyes for the girl across the street: Luna. But Luna is not who she used to be. She doesn’t need his protection anymore.

Loved it
Revisado: 08-28-19
A lot of reviews have come in negatively because of the end of a HEA from a previous book, but that’s ridiculous to me. Terminal illness is terminal and it’s not like this should have been a surprise to anybody who reads the series. It was inevitable and it was done beautifully. This book will make you cry. But it’s not about an ending, it’s about a beginning. And the relationship between Luna and Knight is an explosive beginning. This is a typical Saints series in that the main relationship is WROUGHT with miscommunication a turmoil that could be resolved with a simple conversation (but isn’t that what we love so much?)
