The only good thing about this book it’s a warning for me to avoid any other titles by the author. Incredibly cringy. It’s not a thriller is a young adult book. Returning this.

Started slow but stay with it ..it’s worth it.

This book is written using the interview style format. Each character is giving their view on what’s going in a confession style format. I love this format. I love the voice actors. They made each actors come alive. This format may not be for some people. If you have ever listened to World War Z, this is a similar format.

Basic, Simple and Great

Would you consider the audio edition of Hardcore Self Help: F**k Depression to be better than the print version?

I wouldn't know.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Hardcore Self Help: F**k Depression?

This is a great book for someone who is not familiar with; therapy and depression. I am not American and in my culture if someone states that she/he is feeling blue. We will dismiss it for being weak/needy and ungrateful. Seeing a therapist is also seems as taboo, "if you see a therapist, you must be crazy". For me, this is a great book, it explains the simple basics of "feeling blue", how to manage that emotion, what you can expect should you see a therapist and how to find a therapist. I listened to this audiobook twice.

What about Robert Duff’s performance did you like?

Everything about this performance is great. He speaks to you like he is a friend. It is very easy to follow.

What insight do you think you’ll apply from Hardcore Self Help: F**k Depression?

Everything. This is a great book.

He mentioned there are some diagram/graph/work sheets. Would be great if we are given access to these items.

What disappointed you about And After?

I have read book 1 and book 1.5.

So far the best book is book 1.5, in my opinion.

This books read more like a highschool novel with silly kids doing silly things
1. Whats the deal with Cassie's birthday being crappy?
2. They knew a giant "pod" is coming and just build a trench? That's it? No bells, no plan to re-group with White field?
3. They teach children in the school paintings but not how to defend herself. The kids are taught to run and duck. That's it?
4. Cassie gets attack by a Zombie "pod" after she sleeps with Dan. Reminds me of the cliche horror flick scene which the couple gets killed after having sex. Cliche much?

What do you think your next listen will be?

I will continue with read book 3, oh well.

Have you listened to any of Julia Whelan’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Julia Whelan is a great narrator. Love her in book 1.5 and "I Take You".

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

It was an easy listen and the story isn't terrible.I was just horribly disappointed. Book 1.5 was so good. This book, sigh.

I was ok with the story 3 hours into the book. After that it was like, what the heck?

Repetitive

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I am halfway through the book, it feels so repetitive, same thing over and over again with a sloooow plot progression.

Has Bird Box turned you off from other books in this genre?

Nope. I love this genre.

Would you be willing to try another one of Cassandra Campbell’s performances?

I am not sure, she is also a part of why I am bored with this book. This is the first time that I had to speed up the narration to 1.5x. I am like, hurry up already.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Bird Box?

Better editing.

As mentioned, I am halfway through and I have decided to return this book. The plot is slow and the narration makes me sleepy. To a point now, I don't care much of what will happen to the characters and story. Sorry this one is not for me.

A better ending would make the story great. It was off to a good start but the ending was flat.

Would you listen to The Martian again? Why?

I am no geek nor space buff, I bought this book because I fell in love with Mike Watney. Not only I listened to it twice. I also bought the hardcover book.

If you could sum up Joyland in three words, what would they be?

Michael Kelly's narration is amazing. The story is meh, but Micheal Kelly (aka Doug Stamper of House of Cards) made the book.

If you’ve listened to books by Stephen King before, how does this one compare?

Story is meh. Go listen to 11.22.63 -that's a better book.

All of them. Especially when he is Devin Jones.
