FBI Special Agent Laurel Snow is back!! SA Laurel Snow is one of the most original characters I’ve ever read in the mystery/thriller/romantic/suspense genre. She has a unique look and is off the charts smart…..she’s brilliant actually. I love Cpt. Huck Rivers, he has his own demons and issues, he & Laurel have a complicated and undefined relationship, looking forward to seeing where their relationship goes.

I have to say Agent Snow’s half-sister, Dr. Abigail Caine, really takes this series to a whole new “holy crap she’s a psycho” level….she is beyond creepy. Yikes!

I cannot wait to read more! This book is fast paced and will keep you on the edge of your seat guessing who the killer is almost till the end!! That ending….WOW! Can’t wait for the next book. If you’re a fan of romantic/suspense mixed with plenty of mystery you will not be disappointed! Can’t wait for the next book!!

5 Suspenseful Stars!!

This was a great romantic suspense and thriller.

Laurel Snow is a child prodigy. She attended college at age 11 and is now a Special Agent for the FBI. Laurel has been hunting and profiling serial killers for years and she very good at her job. When several bodies (and body parts) of women are discovered in her hometown of Genesis Valley, WA Laurel volunteers to head the investigation and we’re introduced to several interesting characters…..and a long list of suspects.

This new audio format is a GAME.CHANGER!

I absolutely love this series. No matter how many times I’ve read it, I can still pick it up and enjoy it as much as the first time! I’ve listened to my audiobooks in this series MANY times over but, I have to say this new format is definitely a whole new experience!! I’m having a hard time trying to come up with a comparison.

I loved it, I certainly hope they do the rest of the series in this format I would happily use my Audible credits on them!!

5 He’s All Alpha Stars!

Paige Carpino is the “baby” of the Carpino Clan. Paige is awesome, I loved her character, she’s fun, honest, outgoing, and has a beautiful heart. Drifting after college and working at the family law firm she finally finds her calling in catering and food blogging.

Cam Montgomery is all A.L.P.H.A. He’s a former high school and college star football player who went on to become a high school math teacher, football coach, and athletic center business owner. He’s also is divorced and has primary sole custody of his two adorable children Jordy and Cara. He’s a fantastic and loving father.

When Paige agrees to babysit for her sister and brother in law while they go to Hawaii for a week she also agrees to watch the neighbors children to fill in for her sister while their away. She instantly decides to break through sweet little Cara’s shyness. When the children’s father (Cam) shows to pick up his children she realizes he’s the “brick wall” she had a run in with and he realizes that she’s the women he was a complete ass to.

Despite their less than perfect prior introduction, Paige convinces him to let her continue to care for his children since little Cara has completely stolen her heart. Cam agrees and as the days pass they grow closer.....much to the dismay of someone close to Paige. Unbeknownst to Paige, she’s being watched and her stalker is becoming more daring and dangerous which pushes Cam to finally open his eyes and his heart to Paige.

I loved Cam and Paige’s (sometimes bumpy) journey to their HEA. I also loved the kids, what a great and loving father Cam is, and how much kids fall in love with Paige. It was great that we get more of Jude & Gabby, Tony & Leigh, and the rest of the fun overprotective Carpino clan. Another winner for Brynne Asher!!

4 “Beautiful Gem” Stars!!

After reading Overflow I was really looking forward to Tony and Leigh's story. Leigh is one of Gabby’s best friends and have been best friends since third grade. Leigh is beautiful but she’s broken. Leigh has suffered years of horrific abuse from her husband until one day he goes too far and she’s hospitalized. Gabby comes to her rescue and pretty much forces her to move in with her and Jude when she’s released from the hospital.

Tony Carpino, Gabby’s cousin has been waiting in the wings for her and will do whatever it takes to make her his. This book is about Leigh's healing, learning to trust, and getting back to the confidant woman she once was. I LOVED how patient, supportive, and loving Tony is. He’s determined. He’s in love. He want’s Leigh to be his forever. We get some suspense when it looks like someone is out to hurt Tony and using Leigh as a pawn to get to Tony.

All-in-all a great read with a great storyline, great H&h, a cute puppy, and a big loving Italian family.

4 Fun Stars!

Gabrielle Carpino, an interior decorator is innocently dropping off a thank you gift to her friend and client upon completion of a remodel when the FBI raids the house, and Gabby is handcuffed in the shuffle for questioning. Gabby immediately calls her cousin Tony Carpino (a lawyer), and that’s when we get to know snarky, stubborn, fun, gun toting Gabby. FBI Special Agent Jude Ortiz, who pats her down is treating her….differently. He knows she has nothing to do with his case but he can’t seem to help himself from baiting her.

Next thing you know, Jude shows at Gabby’s house when she’s in the middle of a household emergency, he immediately takes over, Tony shows and gives and hand, Jude and Tony do some man bonding, and next thing you know Jude is ensconced in Gabby’s crazy extended family. Gabby and Jude, immediately hit it off which turns out to be a good thing since her life is now being threatened, and it’s up to Jude to keep her safe.

All-in-all this was a fast-paced fun read with a great H&h, a cute spoiled doggie, and a big crazy loving protective Italian family. Looking forward to the rest of the series!!

Definitely NOT Going on My KA Favorites Shelf!!

I'm heartbroken that I'm so VERY disappointed in the final book of this series. The storyline was mediocre at best....It feels like KA just threw a book together to end the series. The first two books are great, The Will is one of my absolute favorites.

The best thing about this book was catching up with characters from The Will and Soaring (the first two books in the series) and the side story between the handyman and Cady's niece.

Lastly, the narrator was okay, but, not great....she made the listening of this story (a tiny bit) more bearable.

I Love Anne Stuarts Anti-Heros!!

Let me start by saying I LOVED Matthew Ryder, he’s everything we expect from an Anne Stuart anti-hero. He’s unfeeling, dark, extremely sexy, and definitely dangerous. His job is to eliminate those “The Committee” deem dangerous, powerful, and on the wrong side of the law. In this case the head of a flesh peddling ring importing young women and children from South America to be sold to the highest bidder and once The Committee learns that someone has taken over the flesh trade enterprise from the Corsini Crime Family in book one, "Consumed by Fire", and they are determined to end the trade once and for all!

Great storyline, with fast paced action, intrigue, shady characters, vile relatives and many twists and turns! However, I had an issue with Jenny the heroine…she was way too stubborn, naive and couldn’t see anything beyond her own wants and fears even if it slapping her in the face and putting others in danger….I wanted to shoot her myself at times!!

If the heroine was different, I can see myself giving this a five-star rating, but Jenny as a heroine had me wanting to hurl my iPod across the room at times!! But if you’re a fan of Anne Stuart's hero’s it’s totally worth the read just to meet Matthew Ryder!!!

5 Fantastic Burning Stars!!!!

WOW!! I looooooved this book!!! Vlad and Leila are back and determined to find Szilagyi no matter what it takes! Well….except Vlad would rather have Leila safely locked away, while he deals with this deadly adversary. However; Leila is very strong willed and is not easily persuaded. She's determined to help her husband with his enemy and It’s not long before Leila lands into evil Szilagyi's hands. His treatment of her was so horrific, I'm still reeling from it!!

Vlad is just as brutal as always especially when it comes to protecting his people and even more brutal when Leila’s in danger! Vlad is ruthless in his over protectiveness towards Leila. Where Leila is concerned, there is no one and nothing that will be safe from his savage vengeance (I’m having good shivers right now thinking about it!) I love it when he’s ruthless to his enemies!!!!

Leila really has come into her own; her electrical power is stronger than ever, she has become a strong heroine although, she still second guesses herself a bit too much. She is young in human years and new to her vampire life. She still can't believe Vlad actually loves her as the storyline progresses, so does Leila's inner strength and she overcomes most of her misgivings when it comes Vlad.

As always narrator Tavia Gilbert ROCKS!!!

Beyond Your Wildest Dreams!!!

I love this series!!! Finnie is wealthy, young, adventurous, and misses her deceased parents desperately. She learns of a parallel world where everyone has a twin and for a lot of money, months of planning, and a powerful modern day witch it's time to switch places with her "twin" so that she can see her "parents" again. Unfortunately her twin in the parallel world wasn't exactly forthcoming and what awaits her in the other world is way beyond her "Wildest Dreams".

Upon landing in the other world she is informed that she is a Princess ("The Winter Princess") and is immediately prepared to marry Frey Drakker, who makes it abundantly clear that he's not happy about their arranged marriage. Frey is a big, handsome, proud, and fierce man who is a Raider and King to The Elves and Dragons!!

Finnie has a wild ride ahead of her and what a fantastic journey it is! I love this world KA has created.

My only complaint is the narrator who does a great job on the female voices, but, when doing the hero's voice (or other males) she uses a really deep growly voice....making them all sound seriously pissed off though out the book. Regardless, I have purchased the next book in the series "Golden Dynasty" which is my favorite in the series, hopefully narrator Tillie Hooper will find her groove as the series progresses.
