Interesting, thoughtful story, reflecting the need for more regulations with sperm donation
Revisado: 11-12-20
Dove Fox's podcast not only shows us the need for regulation of sperm banks, but also gives a very humanitarian look into one specific donor's basic needs in conflict with his mental illness. It gives a global perspective of the women who purchased his sperm, the donor's intentions and what was going on in his life, and the importance of having an accurate background health check. It also gives a glimpse into the business of the bank that's sold his sperm. The interviewer is transparent in where he stands.

Awesome!
Revisado: 07-17-19
This story says so much on many levels in a true and simple way. The dialogue is rich and real. It will make you mad at how people with AIDS were treated and are still treated by our country. But that's only a small part of the story. The journey of the characters, how that time changed everything is the story, and how a whole generation was affected. The characters are alive, making the reader invested in their outcome. It's an accurate account of a time that began when no one knew what was true about the disease. And it depicts, for some, a coming-of-age.

Historia
People are drawn to libraries for all kinds of reasons. Most come for the books themselves, of course; some come to borrow companionship. For head librarian Kit, the public library in Riverton, New Hampshire, offers what she craves most: peace. Here, no one expects Kit to talk about the calamitous events that catapulted her out of what she thought was a settled, suburban life. She can simply submerge herself in her beloved books and try to forget her problems. But that changes when 15-year-old, home-schooled Sunny gets arrested for shoplifting a dictionary.

I enjoyed the story very much. It was a little confusing with how many people read it. But I couldn’t stop listening to it.

Historia
When it comes to law and order, East Texas plays by its own rules - a fact that Darren Mathews, a black Texas Ranger, knows all too well. Deeply ambivalent about growing up black in the Lone Star State, he was the first in his family to get as far away from Texas as he could. Until duty called him home. When his allegiance to his roots puts his job in jeopardy, he travels up Highway 59 to the small town of Lark, where two murders - a black lawyer from Chicago and a local white woman - have stirred up a hornet's nest of resentment.

Revisado: 06-05-18
Overall, this is a great story read by a very good narrator. It kept my attention. My only critique is I got lost in the end with the amount of characters. Maybe I wouldn’t if I was reading the book. Will listen to the end one more time.

I love this book! I didn’t want it to end. The storyline moved quickly and reeled me in. Loved all of the characters with their quirky personalities. It was a crazy, colorful family delivering a heartfelt message. I felt like I was right there with them. The author narrates the story perfectly.

Historia
FBI Special Agent Matthew Roarke is closing in on a bust of a major criminal organization in San Francisco when he witnesses an undercover member of his team killed right in front of him on a busy street, an accident Roarke can't believe is coincidental. His suspicions put him on the trail of a mysterious young woman who appears to have been present at each scene of a years-long string of accidents and murders, and who may well be that most rare of killers: a female serial.

Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Fascinating Glimpse Into A World Most Will Never See
Revisado: 03-06-16
This is a great story. A glimpse into a world most of us may never experience but can, thanks to the author and narrator. It is a long tale packed with much adventure, intrigue, mishaps, and love. The characters, their voices, and the story were lively and held my interest. My only complaint is the women's voices were a bit weak.
I would recommend this to most. It does include drugs and violence.
Thank you Mr Roberts and Mr Bowers for a heartfelt adventure.
