Historia
As a snowstorm wreaks havoc in the mountain town of Crooked Creek, a woman is found buried in ice. Detective Ellie Reeves is first on the scene. Examining the body, she finds frozen blonde hair, pink nail polish, and a silver heart necklace engraved with Mine Forever. Ellie has firsthand experience of the monsters that lurk in the mountains - her childhood is testament to that. She vows to catch this one, but she’s up against the brutal weather, with snow covering footprints and making forensics impossible.

She is still getting knocked in the head way more than any human should.
Revisado: 01-01-24
I like the way the narrator flows easily from one character to the next. Why does the main character have to constantly be getting hurt?

Historia
Detective Ellie Reeves heads into the wilds of the Appalachian Mountains when she wants to get lost - to forget the whispers chasing her and the past that keeps her up at night. She’s sick of having to prove herself to her small town. But hiking in the endless miles of woods isn’t the escape she was hoping for. One night, as dusk falls, a gust of wind blows some petals on to Ellie’s path. Following the trail, she finds a golden-haired young woman dead on a bed of daffodils, with a note: Monday’s child is fair of face.

How many blows to the head
Revisado: 11-30-23
How many blows to the head leading to being knocked out? that’s all I keep thinking, every time the main character gets hit in the head once again, and knocked out once again??It’s beginning to be a little unrealistic, but I am hooked on the story. It gets a bit old when the tough main character constantly appears to unrealistically be getting into situation where she seems to need saving. I’m not expecting her to be a black belt or anything. Maybe just smart enough not to get into situations alone. Making the character self reliant just a little would feel more real. The story can still be super exciting and plot twisting without the main character constantly getting knocked out and needing to be saved every time. EVERY TIME

Complicated review!!🤠
Revisado: 06-19-23
This book seemed to ALMOST have it all. Happy, sad, fear, frustration, anger…. Only one reason I gave it less than 5 stars…. I had trouble relating to ANY of the characters. For the simple reason that it made me cringe the way the female cops were portrayed as fat, ugly dykes( not those exact words) I happen to be the sister of 2 of the most beautiful female cops, and know many more. I’m sure someone else wouldn’t even notice, but it just struck me wrong. Also, the fact that there wasn’t 1 single queer character, and everybody has at least one in their life…. Just a thought😁 It will make me hesitate b4 reading another. I very much enjoyed the book though!! Thank you!!🤠

For an athlete, who is smart, pretty and well-liked, this night that should be the highlight of her high school career. But Emily has a secret. And by the end of the evening, that secret will be silenced forever. Forty years later, Emily’s murder remains a mystery. Her tight-knit group of friends closed ranks; her respected, wealthy family retreated inwards; the small town moved on from her grisly attack. But all that’s about to change.

AWESOME!!🤠
Revisado: 06-11-23
This book unlike any other. It had me tingly, and couldn’t seem to read it fast enough. Although it was easy enough to figure out within a few chapters, who the killer really was….. I still LOVED the story and didn’t want it to end! Thank you! I LOVED Andrea and Emily’s characters!!🤠💜🤠💜🤠💜
