Historia
It begins with a shocking act of vengeance. Barista Ethan Falk chases a customer into the parking lot and kills him. He tells police that years ago the older man abducted and tortured him. Then Ethan's story takes an even stranger turn: He says he was rescued by a guy named Scorpion. Of course, there is no record of either the kidnapping or the rescue, because Scorpion - Jonathan Grave - operates outside the law and leaves no evidence.

Vintage Gilstrap. You won’t be disappointed. Scenario is all too possible. I hope he writes one soon about Chinese infiltration and attacks on our soil.

Historia
Cuba and the United States are in talks to normalize relations, something the old guard on the Communist-controlled island has vowed to stop - by any means necessary. Zayda de la Guardia, a rogue general in the Cuban security services, has gotten his hands on a nuclear weapon left over from the Cold War. He plans to launch it on Miami, an attack that could kill millions. There’s just one thing standing in his way: Special agent Jericho Quinn and his team have traveled undercover to Cuba to unravel de la Guardia’s plot before it ignites a nuclear holocaust.

Different narrator from previous titles
Revisado: 12-10-19
The narrator is a new person, and is not a good as the prior narrator. He has totally lost the persona of the Cajun who is a staple in these stories, and overall leaves much to be desired. His volume changes up and down sentence by sentence, and I found it distracting and hard to listen to. Consequently, I rated the performance, good, but only three stars. The story by Marc Cameron is outstanding, and if I was only reading this but not listening, I would give it five stars. I choose Audible books because the performance usually adds a special element to the story, enhancing the plot. In this case, the performance of the narrator was workmanlike. I would call it adequate, but just.

Historia
On a night flight from London to Boston, Ted Severson meets the stunning and mysterious Lily Kintner. Sharing one too many martinis, the strangers begin to play a game of truth, revealing very intimate details about themselves. Ted talks about his marriage that's going stale and his wife, Miranda, who he's sure is cheating on him. Ted and his wife were a mismatch from the start - he the rich businessman, she the artistic free spirit - a contrast that once inflamed their passion but has now become a cliché.

Revisado: 02-16-19
Wow. This would make a great movie. Rose Byrne as Lily. The Audible performance is superb. Glad I chose to listen and not just read.

The performance is outstanding
Revisado: 08-29-18
As usual, the author delivers an engaging and well done story. Dugoni does a great job on character development. Emily Sutton-Smith really enhances the experience with her talent as a performer.

Eisner both wrote and performed this story. Both were very well done. This story is much better nuanced than the run of the mill
Revisado: 06-08-18
Much better nuanced than the run of the mill special ops or assassin tale. The story line is itself enhanced by Eisler’s superb performance skills.
