A satisfying read for the Christmas season.

Lucy and Jack are now dating, still working their camper van businesses, and experiencing the natural dating pangs that happen as a couple gets to know one another. For me, this was the most realistic part of the entire story.

Fave character - I absolutely adore Lucy’s Nana.

Least fave character - I was ready to fight Lucy’s BFF in the first half of the book.

I did this as an audio because I LOVE the reader.

I do recommend reading the first book first because it pours a lot of concrete for readers for this book, but it’s not an absolute. You can still read this and enjoy it without reading the first.

What did you love best about Real Murders?

The story - I was so engaged in the storytelling. I am familiar with a lot of the cases this novel explores, so that was an interesting experience as I listened.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Real Murders?

There were so many, but most especially the ending. Harris did a solid job tying all the strings together.

What about Therese Plummer’s performance did you like?

The pacing of the story - Plummer is a fab reader for Aurora's story.

Any additional comments?

If you love cozy mysteries and are looking to expand your reading a little more, definitely make this a part of your listening library.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely - but only to my friends who are lovers of mystery. Roe Teagarden is a fun character, and this novel provides a solid mystery.

What other book might you compare Bone to Pick to and why?

This book had a Mary Higgins Clark feel to it - it is definitely not a cozy mystery, if that is what someone is looking for. What it is: a fab mystery with a strong heroine and an interesting story.

Which character – as performed by Therese Plummer – was your favorite?

Aurora Teagarden - but I loved all the characters. Plummer really brings life to the story, and I think it would be a different experience if I had read it. She really sells the story.

Would you listen to Three Bedrooms, One Corpse again? Why?

Absolutely - the story telling is solid. I enjoyed the pace of the story, the growth of Roe as a character, and the mystery itself.

What other book might you compare Three Bedrooms, One Corpse to and why?

If you like Parker's Jesse Stone series, you might want to give this one a try. I was hesitant because I'm not a fan of the show 'True Blood', but I am glad I did give this series a try. Roe is becoming one of my favorite mystery characters.
