Loved it!
Revisado: 09-24-22
O'Dowd is an entertaining storyteller. She does a great job of weaving life anecdotes with detailed accounts of the treks. I enjoy her poetic descriptions. The narration is pleasant and fits well. I thought the narrator could be O'Dowd herself. About to listen for a second time!

The Climb is a true, gripping, and thought-provoking account of the worst disaster in the history of Mt. Everest: On May 10, 1996, two commercial expeditions headed by experienced leaders attempted to climb the highest mountain in the world, but things went terribly wrong...

Must Read!
Revisado: 09-01-22
Interesting and entertaining, I've listened twice now. Must read to get full perspective of 1996 disaster. Much more believable account than that of 'Into Thin Air.' Boukreev should be remembered as a hero.

Historia
Some people get addicted to it, others receive a healthy dosage each day. What is dopamine, and why is it so important? Dopamine rewards the brain. We want fulfilment, pleasure, happiness, closure, results, and more. All of these things are because of dopamine. This book takes a closer look at the effects of dopamine, its many triggers, and how you can control the dopamine levels in your brain the best way possible.

Countless Mispronunciations
Revisado: 08-01-21
The narrator mispronounced countless simple words (similar pronounced as sim-you-lar throughout, predilection pronounced prediliation, etc.) let alone scientific terms (polysaccharides pronounced polysatch-arides) to the point of distraction. His cadence and somewhat unclear speech would be better suited to a memoir than to scientific material. The material itself is common knowledge. I recommend "The Molecule of More" for a more thorough and clear account of dopamine.
