Historia
Edward Rutherfurd's stirring account of Irish history, the Dublin Saga, concludes in this magisterial work of historical fiction. Beginning where the first volume, The Princes of Ireland, left off, The Rebels of Ireland takes us into a world transformed by the English practice of "plantation", which represented the final step in the centuries-long British conquest of Ireland.

This book is phenomenal and the reader is just as well! I will definitely be getting the rest of the Rutherford books.

Historia
A year after her husband's sudden death, ceramic artist Tilda Fordwells finally moves into the secluded Welsh cottage that was to be their new home. She hopes that the tranquil surroundings will help ease her grief, and lessen her disturbing visions of Mat's death. Instead, the lake in the valley below her cottage seems to spark something dormant in her - a sensitivity, and a power of some sort. Animals are drawn to her, electricity shorts out when she's near, and strangest of all, she sees a new vision.

Not her best work
Revisado: 12-02-20
I have listened to maybe 3-4 Paula Brackston books by now and I can say this one is not the best. It’s not terrible but I find it to be quite cliché and predictable. In some of her other works the relationship between the main character and the love interest is gradual and built up as they grow closer as friends. But I kind of feel like this one was moving a little fast. I also found the story to be sort of been there done that before already especially compared to some of her other books. It always begins with a strong female character, builds with a new love interest, they get together, and together they figure out how to slay the evil doer. Also, as a side note the amount of times she reminds us that the main character is albino is absurd. I didn’t really like the ending so much, I still had maybe some unanswered questions. But in all, I did listen to the entire thing and I really didn’t mind the entire story but some things did make me cringe out loud, especially when it came to the relationship love interest thing.
