Corey Douglas and his K-9 partner, Simon Garfunkel, have recently retired from the police force. Not ready to give up the life yet, they come up with a proposal for fellow former cop, Laurie Carpenter, and her investigating partner, Marcus. They call themselves the K Team, in honor of Simon. Their first job as private investigators comes to them from Judge Henry Henderson, who's known as a very tough but fair judge, and they've all come up against him in court at one time or another. Though it's hard to believe, Judge Henderson is being blackmailed and extorted.

Wrong Narrator

My husband and I own everyone of the Andy Carpenter books and LOVE them. But this new series has a new narrator and it ruined the book. We got about half way through and quit. I couldn't get past the voice of Andy and other characters I liked being different. It changed their whole personality. Not a fan. I am so sorry because I was really looking forward to this series.

What did you like best about V Is for Vengeance? What did you like least?
I love this series and couldn't wait to hear this one on tape. It's the first I've "read" this way. I'm not sure if it was because I listened to it rather than read it, but I had a hard time following the plot. I almost gave up, but I'm glad I didn't. I do enjoy reading about Kinsey's adventures.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
I had trouble getting all the pieces in place. There was several things going on and it was easy to lose track. I'm going to have to listen to it again to get it all sorted out.
