superb... I love the Orville

love this world. I love the series. I totally enjoyed having an episode in this format, as it's possible to have the thoughts of the characters as well as my internal visualization (using my knowledge of the characters from watching the series )... this , as a social commentary, is superbly written. I remember reading Primo Levi's autobiography of his experience of being in Germany and interned in a concentration camp, and being deeply moved at how he gave his understanding of his view of the everyday German and the way they made their choices which led to them becoming prison guards and the choices that they made. this episode reminds me of the complexity of 'grey' we have to process as being part of a society, and how we can have both distaste and compassion for people simultaneously ... great read... totally recommend it.

I'm enjoying the world created and the characters... I hope that the other books in the series continue to progress well. I find the disjointed phrasing which the narrator uses to be annoying and distracting

superb... the narrator is brilliant. I love Terry Pratchett's humour... it's brought to life in all its dramatic chaos... I love the witches... so well done.

carbon copy of first book in series

the first book was ok... cliche at times but the characters were interesting. I had hoped that the author would progress with their writing skills in the second book, to ease some of the clunky ness but instead this was a carbon copy of the first book , and the weaknesses in writing style were exacerbated rather than remediated.

brilliant, poignant, well written

a superb book, told with candor and simply... I related to his journey (much of mine being very similar) . l appreciate how my compassion and admiration for this amazing man can possibly mean that I can view myself with compassion and admiration too... I have admired Alan Davies's work over the decades, without any knowledge of what lay in his past. I respect him even more. He has an amazing turn of phrase... he could even be accused of literature ( a reference to a Terry Prachett quote)
