Amazingly relevant and comprehensive. Recommended for the lay person as well as physicians, psychologists, therapists, school counselors and teachers, and parents. The negative impact on the mental health of our children by social media and smartphones we adults find addictive too. But our children are being brought into this technology during key developmental periods in life we did not experience. Thank you Jonathan Haidt for KEY WORK in this arena. it will be a classic and should be a must read for all of us charged with the health and well-being of our children.

This book is a perfect companion to Susan Forward’s Emotional Blackmail on narcissistic abuse. Thank you for a skillfully presented book which details the challenge and necessity of moving forward. I would love someone to take a dive into embracing positive history with an emotionally abusive partner. For example, a 20 year marriage which resulted in the gift from God of beautiful children can be a focus of deep gratitude. That this can be cherished despite the dynamics which ultimately ended the relationship. I have not seen an author address this aspect of healing, though I think it deserves an entire chapter.

The book is remarkable.
I listened to audible while reading along.
Dr. Jordan Peterson has continued to demonstrate an uncanny aptitude for writing about the human condition in a highly creative and intellectual manner that engages our fascination on a very deep personal level. It’s edifying and refreshing and I will return to the book for a refresher every now and then. Loved this book!

Physician, Do No Harm. Here is a quote taken from this book I wish to share with my physician friends-
“It’s an old idea: physicians are not merchants. The shop owner lives by the conceit that the customer is always right; the physician trains to acquire a critical understanding of a patient’s needs. Giving in to a patient’s request is appropriate only when it coincides with his/her professional judgment.”
Excellent book!! Thank you Abigail Shrier.
